Chapter 13 A Second Chance

Eve's POV

I woke up in a white room. I heard talking, but I could make out what they were saying. CC looked at me and said something. I tilted my head in confusion. Jake spoke to CC saying something. I had an even more confused look on my face.

CC's POV

Eve gently opened her silver eyes and looked at me.

"Hello, how do you feel?" I asked her.

She tilted her head in confusion like she didn't know what I was saying. Jake said in reply to me:

"She might not remember who you are, she may have lost her memory. Heck, she might not even rememver english!"

I nodded. I held her hand and moved my thumb across her bony and bloody hand. I smiled gently and she raised an eyebrow. This, now I knew she couldn't understand me. A few hours passed as i tried to communicate with Eve. She seemed to understand certain phrases, but not most of them.

"Eve, do you remember me? CC?" I asked her.

It looked like she wanted to say yes, but she couldn't make a noise. Eve mouthed "yes".

"Do you remember Jake?" I asked.

She nodded in a confused kinda way. I called Jake over amd reintroduced him to Eve. She wanted to say hi, but still she could only mouth words.

"Do you remember Jake now?" I asked.

Eve nodded. I then brought over Jinxx and asked if she remembered him too. Once again, she nodded. I then brought over Ashley. She reached out her arms and wanted a hug. Andy came over and we did a group hug. She remembered. Eve remembers us, only if she remebers our relationship.

"Eve, do you remeber us now that I showed you who we are?" I asked Eve.

She nodded amd let out a tear. I leaned over and hugged her and kissed her cheek. I felt her smile against my lips as I kissed her. Eve looked at me happily.

"Do you remember if you were in a relationship?"
Jake asked her.

She looked over and mouthed "I do, I do remember". I was happy when she remembered.

"Eve might not know everything that she did before, she might not remember who bvb is and who certain people are." Andy suggested.

"True..." I replied..

I looked back at her. The glow of her smied filled the room. It made me happy. This is a miracle. She scooted to the side of the bed. She tried to get up.
The nurse ushered her back on, but she tried to stand. Eve barely was able to stand. Eve about fell down but I caught her. She took "baby steps" across the room. I let go gradually and soon enough, she was walking on her own. She looked back at me and smiled. I jogged over to her and hugged her. Eve laughed and kissed me. Her smile lit up my heart.
