Double Take - Dhruv

It has been raining since morning. Which is weird because it's the middle of the Summer already. But it makes sense because the weather news said there has been a low pressure created in the sea so it will rain lightly for 3 days.

But it doesn’t really matter to Hanni because she loves rain so much. Even if she is in an extremely bad mood her mood changes immediately once it starts raining. And she loves how nature looks so pretty when it rains. That's why she is in the forest right now with her camera, capturing some perfect images she will always admire. A forest becomes alive with the touch of rain. The way the soil smells, the way rain drops fall from a leaf, the way forest becomes more green, the way everything becomes so cozy just flutters Hanni.

After taking pictures for an hour Hanni decides to call it a day since she checked the weather news and it said the rain might get heavier soon. And her raincoat probably won’t be able to handle the heavy rain. If she gets soaked by the rain she might catch a cold . She has a cold allergy and easily catches colds. She is like those Victorian children, sick all the time, 12 months a year. But it’s always cold,coughs and sneezes nothing really serious. If she takes the medicines she becomes fine again. But it wasn't really like this before back when she was an active athlete and would be busy playing football everyday. But it was affecting her studies so her parents kinda forced her to put an end to her athlete life and focus on her studies. After that slowly her immune system became weak and her health became like this.

Hanni checks the pictures she has taken for one last time before putting the camera back in her waterproof backpack. She jumps from the tree branch she was sitting on to take the last few pictures. There was a small puddle on which she jumped on so some dirty rain water splashed and it made her shoes dirty too. But she didn’t really mind it since it was black pair of shoes and she can easily clean them later. She comes out of the woods and gets on the trail. After walking down the trail for a while she finds her bike which she has parked right beside a big wood tree. She unlocks her bike and gets on it before hitting the pedal.

Hanni starts whistling while her legs are busy hitting the pedal of her bike. She is admiring the trees and the green nature around her while cycling through the small street. She used to love coming from school while cycling through this street when she used to live here. Not only her but her friends were with her too. So now those sweet childhood memories suddenly start replaying like flashbacks. She smiles while thinking about those sweet days which she is absolutely missing right now. If she never moved out maybe she could have those sweet moments with her friends till now.

After a while she notices a girl kneeling down beside the street and watching something which is probably on the side of the street. She frowns thinking who would do such a thing without a raincoat or any umbrella in the rain. After getting closer the frown leaves her face after recognizing the person. It's none other than her neighbor. And after recognizing her, a smile draws on Hanni's face immediately.

Haerin walks down the street, being annoyed. But she doesn’t know if she is annoyed at the sudden rain or at herself. Honestly she knows that she should be mad at herself because she didn’t check the weather and also ignored the cloudy morning. So she didn’t find it important to take her umbrella to school. And now she is paying the price by walking back home while soaking in the rain. But good thing it's raining lightly now and she is praying so the rain wouldn’t start pouring down heavily suddenly.

While walking she stops suddenly when he notices something on the side of the street. She steps towards the side more to take a better look at them.
