I must have slept in because the sun was really up and shining.
My blinds were opened, and I'm guessing the maids did that.
I freshened up and went downstairs to the kitchen. I could smell food, and that made me wonder if he was the one behind it.
I don't know why, but I wanted it to be him.
Don't get me wrong, there's a saying of keeping one's enemy closer, so that's what I want to do. He's my enemy, so we must be close.
I don't know if that makes sense.
Unfortunately...I mean fortunately, he wasn't the one.
I guess those rules he gave me are real and serious. Leaves house early in the morning and comes back late, noted.
I spotted a man in the kitchen serving breakfast on the table.
As soon as he spots me, he bows his head. Okay, is this some empire drama or what?
"No, don't do that. It's very weird," I say with a warm smile.
"I'm sorry for any discomfort, Mrs. Ferrari," he says.
Oh no! That name is now mine. I don't even want to be called that.
"No, Arya. Call me Arya," I say, and he looks at me like that's one thing he can't do.
"Please," I add, and he still doesn't budge.
Fine, I guess I'll use some authority then, "it's an order," I say, and he finally nods in agreement.
Are the people here robots or what?
"Thank you for the food," I say.
"You're welcome, Mrs--,I mean, Arya," he says and smiles awkwardly.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Valentino," he says, "I'm Mr. Ferrari's personal chef, and he asked that I make you breakfast. He said something about being afraid that you'd burn the kitchen," he adds and chuckles slightly.
"What? I haven't even used it yet," I retort.
"Enjoy your breakfast," he says and leaves.
I guess I'm eating alone then.
That jerk! Me? Burn the kitchen?
I am going to talk to him when he gets back. That is if I ever see him. He can't possibly be working on the weekends.
That's just not... right.
I finished eating and decided to go around the house and explore since I couldn't do much exploring yesterday.
There were portraits hung up on the wall at every corner of the house. I guess he was an art guy.
They were beautiful, all having a deep meaning once studied and connected to well.
I noticed a door at the very end of another hallway I found myself in.
Why does it have to be all the way there? My curiosity got the better of me, so I started walking towards it only to get there and find out it's locked.
That isn't going to stop me, though. I removed the hair pin I had in my hair, making my hair loose and fall on my back.
I managed to get the door open and walked inside. It was an office.
Probably his. There was a bookshelf near the wall.
No, bookshelves near the wall. You wouldn't even notice because of how they're arranged.
I started going through stuff because I felt like it. There were some papers on the table and floor.
It looks like someone was here because the cigar on the table looks like it has just been put out.
I stumbled on a pile of papers arranged on the ground, making me crash into the bookshelf.
I thought it was all going to come crashing down on me, but instead, a door in the wall opened.
How crazy is that?
I couldn't believe my eyes. A secret passage way here.
Of course, I entered.
My eyes landed on weapons. The whole room was filled with weapons.
Should I even be surprised? I knew people around my parents were all connected to that mafia shit.
"What are you doing here?"
I knew that tone, and this time, it wasn't very pleasing. He was actually angry.
I smell trouble.
I turn to face the man towering over my small figure.
"Exploring. what are you doing here?" I ask, trying to change the main case here.
"I came back for some papers," he replies.
"And you're telling me you couldn't send one of your trusted men to get it for you?"
He seemed stranded but soon found himself, "I don't have to explain myself to you. Get out, " he demands.
"This place is amazing, though," I say.
"Get out!" He yells.
"You cannot talk to me like that. I demand respect in your tone when we talk. I understand you want nothing to do with me, but give me a little respect. At least as your wife," I say and walk pass him.
No one has ever talked to me in such a rude way and no one will start that. I should just stay away from him.
I need to start working, maybe that's the only thing that will keep me busy. This place is suffocating enough.

I don't know what happened to hik, but after I left his office, I figured he'd just go back to work then.
Not even an apology.
I passed time by talking to Irene.
"I mean how dare he?" I say completely irritated by the thought of it.
"Okay, calm down babes. Have you taken your time to think thus through?" She asks.
"What do you mean?"
"What if you are also at fault?" She says and I knew she'd just said what I've been trying to avoid thinking.
"You shouldn't have gone in there, I mean it was locked for a reason," she adds.
I sigh,"I know. I know, I was just curious,"
"So you also need to apologise," she says.
"Do I have to?" I say whining.
"Arya, be for real right now," she says.
"Okay, fine. I'll wait for him to come home and then I'll talk to him," I say.
"Okay, call me and tell me how it went, okay?" She says.
"Yeah, thanks and love you," I say and hang up.
I guess I'll have to wait for a long time then.
I think watching a movie will kill the time.
Marriage is hard, why didn't anyone tell me?!
Hey! Third chapter. The comments and views are encouraging, thank y'all so much. Do you think the next chapter should be in Leo's POV? Tell me what you think of that. Ilu <3 ❤️
