Everytime a concert ended it was always the same thing that happened. I was sat backstage on the couch, watching as Chris came stumbling back and crashed in my arms while winding down and today was no exception. "Chris, let's go home" I said, while drying off a bit of sweat from his forehead with a towel while he looked at me with love filled eyes. "I am home" He said, nuzzling further into me with a straight face and sparkling eyes. "I could stare at you forever," He continued. I chuckled. "You creep," I answered lightly, puffing his arm. "I'm serious" He said, sitting up a bit to kiss my cheek. "You are the most beautiful being i have ever laid my eyes on" "Happy valentines day baby" He continued as our lips met in a short, sweet kiss. Looking at his watch he stood up and stretched out his hand for me to take. "Let's go home then" He said as we left the stadium.

When we arrived to the drive-in, I felt his eyes on me a couple of times. "What is it?" I asked, laughing at his funny expression. "So i have something planned" He started, reaching for his pocket from which he took out a tie. Looking at him confused he burst into laughter. "It's not for what you think baby, at least not right now. I just need to tie it around your head so you won't peak" He said, reaching around me to tie the tie. "I'm coming around to help you out, just a minute" Chris said as he left the car and shortly after opened the door by my side to help me out. Hooking his arm under mine we walked together to the front door, him giggling a little making my heart flutter, i loved happy Chris.

As the door opened I was met with the most delicious smell of something chocolate filled. "Can we take these off soon, Chris?" I asked." Can you just stand there for a minute and then I will be back to take it off?" He asked, and let go of my hand as I could hear him run. Soon after he came back and took off the tie and as I was adjusting to the lighting again my eyes met Chris' and as I looked around I took a deep breath. The entire living room was filled with candle lights looking like stars and on the table there was a homemade brownie and gifts and flowers. Looking at him with tears in my eyes and a look saying enough his face lit up. "It's Felix' brownie" He said, nudging my arm as he dragged me towards the sofa. I reach for a piece of cake, but as I try to, Chris Lighty pulls my hand away. "Gift first" He said, as he placed a small one in my hand and stood up - taking a deep breath. "So before you open that, let me just say something. I was alone, and when I wasn't anymore I was still lonely. I had literally everything and I still didn't feel like a whole person. I knew what was missing, I'm not stupid, but I also know with the path my life was taking there was no way I could get the life I wanted privately without risking a lot for not only me but for the kids as well." He paused, tears clearly filling up his eyes. "Sorry i talk too much" He says, walking to sit but i stop him, telling him to keep talking so he continues. "But then I met you, and for a while i hurted you because I thought that it was just fun. Because nothing could ever be serious for me in this way. But you kept on proving me wrong, you kept on staying with me even when there was no point to do so because I really treated you poorly. Im sorry." His eyes met mine as his tears started to fall. I gave him a warm smile as he continued. "But in your heart I found a home that made me feel like a whole person and in your heart I found true love. I am the happiest I have ever been all because of you" He said as his eyes left mine and met the gift I still held in my hands. "You can open it" He said, and as i did the most beautiful silver ring was in a box with a beautiful small simple stone in it. "Sarah, If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you. Please be with me forever? "Marry me?" He asks, and I nod as tears start streaming down my face. Chris rushes to me as he brings the ring to my finger, fitting perfectly, picking me up in a tight hug as he places kisses all over my face. "Don't ever apologize for what happened in the past again, let's not visit that okay?" I said, drying off the last tear that never fell from his cheek. "Okay" He answered as he placed the both of us on the couch.
