Chapter 7

As soon as we enter the building my hands shoot up to my ears covering them tightly. The noises were so loud it was killing me.

"There just phantom noises, there not real..." I whispered to myself. I stared at the group whose distance kept growing as they walked away from me.

Ashlyn turns around and gestures for me to keep moving, I can tell by the look in her eyes that she hears them to.

I follow close behind them as our tour guide leads us through the house. She takes us on the tour.

The house is lovely and rustic, I would mind living here if it wasn't so... strange..

Just as we move to the second floor our tour guides phone rings. "Ah sorry! This is my emergency phone.. I have to take this call," she says as she picks up the phone.

She talks for a few minutes before starting to walk off. "I'll be right back! Feel free to look around."

We're left alone and the noises only get louder as she leaves. "Well that's super unprofessional.." Tyler says as he shoves his hands into his pockets.

"Well anyways let's explore!" Taylor says as she starts happily skipping down the hallway. I grab Ashlyn's shoulder. "I don't like this." I say.

"Relax, my noises are gone now, so yours are probably your imagination." She says as she walks with the group.

I tag along farther behind the group. I try taking my ear plugs out. "No help.." I think as I put them back in.

"Why is she wearing ear plugs?" Tyler asks. "Ear plugs I thought they were headphones." Aiden says in a loud tone.

My hand shoots up to my exposed ear and covers it. "Ow.." I say. "Yeah their ear plugs I wear them cause im sensitive to..." my eyes widen.

"S-sound.." I finish my sentence as I see a tall shadowy figure in the corner. "Oh sorry I thought they were for music." Aiden says as he continues walking down the hall.

"Relax.. they can't see it.." I think as I stare at the creature as I slowly walk by it. "It will go away soon." I say as I turn back to face it.

"This room looks cool..." I hear Taylor say. "Emilia.. are you okay? You look kinda pale.." she continues..

I sigh deeply. "I'm fine!" I call out as I walk over to them. We walk into the room and I sense I'm being followed by the creature.

"But what if they are real.." I think as I walk into the room. "Wait why is it so quiet.." I wonder as my eyes lock on their faces.

They all look like they've seen a ghost.. "what's up with them." I think as I try to figure out what's going on.

"E-Emilia... behind you..." Logan says as he points behind me. I freeze and my eyes go wide as I feel the creatures presence looming over my shoulder.

Taylor screams and the creature reaches out and claws my arm deeply. "Shit!" I call out as I read back in pain.

I fall down and look back up to see the creature only to find it's gone. "When did it..." I think.

I look at the others who just are treating this like a fake ghost scare. "Where did it go.." Taylor asks.

No one knows for sure. "Maybe it was one of the ghosts~" Aiden says as he tries to scare us. "You all are stupid ghosts are fake." Tyler says trying to fix the tension.

"This is definitely a set up to try and get content out of us!" Tyler says angrily "screw you and your video!" He yells as I see his anger rising.

"Let's go tay." He says grabbing Taylor's arm. "Wait!" Logan says but there already leaving.

I look at Ashlyn and she looks back at me. "How did that thing grab my arm..." I think to myself as I look at it. The marks were gone but man it hurt like hell...

I'm lost In thought when someone reaches out and pats my head. "Ya good Aiden?" Asks.

I jump up and look back at him, "holy shit Aiden!" I say clearly startled. "I kept calling your name but you didn't answer." He says in defence.

My arm throbs slightly even though there is no injury to be seen, only felt.. "I'm fine, just spooked like the rest of you.. we should head back it's almost 5:30."

We walk out of the sorrel house and down back towards the hotel we were staying at. I couldn't shake the feeling though... that we were being watched...
