Sadie's pov
I walked into Chloe's bedroom with a bouquet of roses in my hand and a small box in my other hand. Today was our one year anniversary.
I noticed Chloe was sitting in her bed, awake. She looked at me when she noticed me walk in, giving me a smile.
"Happy anniversary." I smiled.
"Happy anniversary. Flower's again?" Chloe asked as I sat across from her on the bed.
"Yeah. I like giving flowers." I told her.
"You gonna make it a yearly thing?" Chloe wondered.
"Maybe." I answered. "Did you want to do gifts now or tonight at dinner?"
"Let's do it at dinner. We can cuddle for now and then go out and have fun." Chloe replied.
I smiled before setting down her flowers and the present on her bedside table. Chloe opened her arms and I crawled into them, resting my head on her chest. She placed a kiss on my head before tangling her fingers in my hair and massaging my scalp.
"I can't believe it's been one year already." I said.
"I know. Crazy, huh?" Chloe chuckled. "And to think I had a crush on you for years beforehand."
"Yeah. I'm sorry about that." I apologized.
"It's okay. You were fourteen and I was eleven when we met. That would have been really weird." Chloe assured me.
I lifted my head up, kissing her on the lips. She placed her hand on the back of my neck, kissing me back. I pulled away after a few seconds, leaving my lips a few inches away from hers.
"Wow. Was that my present?" Chloe asked with a smile.
"No." I smiled, glancing down at her lips. "I just realized I haven't kissed you yet and I missed the feeling of your lips on mine." I leaned in and kissed her again. "Now I feel better."
Chloe let out a small giggle before kissing me again.
After cuddling in bed for another hour, Chloe and I went out into the town. We stopped to get coffee and went to the mall before I took Chloe home so she could get ready for dinner.
When I got home, I took a shower in my bathroom before going out to pick an outfit for dinner. I decided on wearing jeans, a belt, a white button up, and a black blazer. I put on my nike air force sneakers before leaving to get Chloe.
I got out of the car as Chloe came out of her house. My eyes trailed up and down her body, taking note of the tight red dress that complimented her hips really well.
"Woah. You look so fucking hot, babe." I told her.
Chloe blushed. "Thank you."
I opened up the passenger door for her and she got in the car. When she got all situated in the seat I shut the door and went to the drivers side. I started the car and drove to the restaurant.
While we were waiting for our food to arrive, Chloe and I decided to open our gifts.
"Can you open my gift first?" Chloe asked.
I smiled. "Yeah, of course, my love."
Chloe let out a small happy squeal as she reached into her purse and pulled out a box. She handed it to me and I opened up the box.
I let out a small chuckle once I saw the necklace with her initial on it. "Wow."
"What? You don't- You don't like it?" Chloe asked with a small frown. "I still have the receipt. You can-"
"No, no, no. Baby, I love it so much." I assured her as I reached over and placed my hand over hers. "It's just funny."
"What is?" Chloe wondered.
I reached into my back pocket and pulled out the necklace box, opening it up to reveal the necklace with my initial. "We had the same idea."
Chloe smiled. "Great minds think alike."
"And that's why we work." I winked at her.
I took the necklace out of the box and stood up from my chair. Chloe stood up and I moved to stand behind her as she moved her hair. I put the necklace around her neck, closing the clasp. Chloe turned around to show me with a big smile on her face.
"Gorgeous." I told her.
Chloe picked up the necklace she got me. I turned around and she put the necklace on me, closing the clasp. The second I turned around, her arms were around my neck and her lips were placed on mine.
"Happy anniversary, baby." Chloe said.
"Happy anniversary." I replied.
When we got back in the car, Sadie started to drive back to my house. I placed my hand on her thigh as she drove.
"Did you want to come over?" I teasingly asked as I trailed my hand up her thigh. "Madison isn't home."
Sadie didn't answer me. Instead she just pressed harder on the gas pedal, speeding up the car. I smirked as I turned my head to look out the window.
