Marking My Territory

I wake up to the sun shining through the window. Jimin didnt close the curtains before we fell asleep so it was very bright in his room. I glance at my phone and frown. I definitely didnt want to be awake at seven in the morning. I roll over onto my back and glance at Jimin. He was asleep on his side and his hands were curled into fists near his face. I smile and admire how cute he looked. I slowly get up and make my way out of his room.

I walk into the kitchen and open the refrigerator. I grab the milk and a bowl from the cupboard. I open the pantry and take out the box of cereal. I pour the cereal in and then the milk. I sit down to eat and scroll through my phone.

"You're up early." Taehyung passes by me fully dressed to go work out.

"I had the sun shining on my face and you know I need complete darkness to sleep." I turn my phone over to give him my full attention.

Taehyung pours himself some coffee. "What are you talking about? The curtains are closed in the living room."

"I slept in Jimin's room." I look at him waiting for a response. I want to see how you react, Tae.

Taehyung frowns. "Why were you in Jimin's room? There was the couch."

I shake my head. "We were just talking and honestly I didn't want to sleep on the couch. I guess I'm spoiled since normally I sleep in a bed here."

Taehyung's mood darkens. "You slept in his bed? Where was Jimin?"

I look him dead in the eye. "He slept right next to me." Taehyung clenches his jaw. "Nothing happened if you were curious. We just wanted to get to know each other better as friends."

Taehyung walks over to the sink and washes his mug. "As long as it's only friends. I don't need to have a messy situation between one of my best friends and my cousin. That will make my life forever awkward."

I roll my eyes. "Because the world is all about you Tae."

Taehyung grabs his wallet and keys off the counter. "Whatever. I'll be at the gym if anyone needs me."

Taehyung walks out the door as I drink the milk in my bowl. I am startled by arms wrapping around my waist. I look behind me and Jimin is nuzzling his face in my hair.

"That was very smooth of you Nalia." Jimin takes a deep breath and circles around to the still warm coffee pot.

I smile at him. "I can get what I want sometimes. Taehyung doesn't need to freak out over something like this. Besides, the best relationships start as friendships right?"

Jimin chuckles and pours himself a cup of coffee. "I suppose so." He takes a sip. Jimin is wearing a sleeveless shirt and basketball shorts. His hair is slightly messy and I feel the urge to run my fingers through it. Instead, I finger comb my hair and let my loose hair fall to the floor.

"Why do girls have to spread their hair everywhere they go? I swear I find Nari's hair in my laundry after Jungkook washes his clothes."

I giggle. "We have to mark our territory somehow."

Jimin quickly finishes his coffee and places his mug in the sink. He opens the pantry and grabs a granola bar. "I'll have to check my bed now for your hair."

"I'm sure there are at least three strands of my hair in those sheets." I flip my hair over my shoulder and take my bowl over to the sink. I wash my bowl and the mug Jimin left in the sink.

Jimin shakes his head. "I better go shower then to make sure there aren't any on me."

I turn back to him and wave. "Good luck with my hair."
