Nari notices Taehyung and Jimin leave with Nalia following them. Jungkook looks where she is looking and then makes his way out of the pool. Jungkook grabs a towel and quickly dries off. Nari follows him. Both start walking in the same direction as their friends, but Jiyoo appears in front of them. “Just let them go. There was an argument.”
“Do you know what the argument was about?” Nari eyes Jiyoo. Jiyoo shrugs. “Jiyoo?”
Jiyoo flips her hair. “I just congratulated Nalia on winning.”
Nari’s eyes go wide. “Jiyoo! How could you!”
Jungkook looks between the two of them. “What did Nalia win?”
Jiyoo’s face pouts. “Nalia beat me in getting a kiss first. I was supposed to get a Taehyung kiss, but Nalia got a Jimin kiss first.”
“Jiyoo!” Nari hissed.
“What is she talking about, Nari?” Jungkook turns Nari to face him. His eyes are searching her face for an answer.
Nari sighs. “Jiyoo and Nalia had a bet. They were competing to see who could get a kiss first. Nalia was supposed to get a kiss from Jimin, and Jiyoo was supposed to get a kiss from Taehyung. I knew this was a bad idea!” Nari looks at the ground. “I'm sorry to keep this from you, Jungkook. I promised both of them I wouldn't, but then Nalia actually started to fall for Jimin. I thought the bet would just be forgotten.”
Jungkook takes Nari’s hand. “I will say I am disappointed that you didn't tell anyone about this, but we have a bigger problem now. Jimin is probably really hurting right now. I'm sorry this happened on your birthday,” Jungkook side eyes Jiyoo. “But it seems someone was a sore loser and wanted to hurt her friend.”
Jiyoo scoffs. “I was being a good friend by congratulating her.”
Nari faced Jiyoo. “But you completely outed her! What kind of friend does that! If you knew anything, you would know that Nalia really likes Jimin. Did you see her balling her eyes out?!” Nari rips her hand away from Jungkook. “I'm going to be a good friend and find her! She is probably torn apart.”
Nari quickly runs off towards the backyard gate.
Jungkook shakes his head and follows after Nari. Jiyoo rolls her eyes and goes back to her pool party.
