Olivia's POV

I woke up to my alarm blasting into my ears. Good fucking morning to me. It was 6:45 am and my interview was at 9. I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After I did that, I hopped into the shower, washing my hair too.

After I was finished, I put on my curl primer and some comfy clothes and I went downstairs to make some breakfast as I let my hair air dry. I just cut up some bananas, strawberries, apricots and grapes and mixed them into a bowl with a drizzle of honey on top.

No, I'm not that type of girl that wakes up early and starts her day off with fruits and a run. I usually wake up after 10 am, I make myself a cup of coffee and sit down to watch a show for the rest of the day. Today it was an exception, just because I didn't have time to actually cook something.

As I finished eating my breakfast I looked at the time. 7:50 am. Great, now I'm in a rush. I quickly did my make-up and picked my outfit. A blue long sleeve top and black cargo pants. And to match my shirt, I put on my blue Air Force 1's.

8:23 am. I'm ready. I just need to order an Uber and get to the place. As I opened the app I got a notification from...Matt?

I mean, yeah, but I

I grabbed my purse and shut off the lights. I grabbed my keys, locked the door and rushed to the car, getting in the passenger seat.

"Okay, so we need to get to "Equinox Café". Let me just find the email with the address and-"

"Good morning to you to Livi." Matt said and lightly laughed, making me laugh as well.

"Good morning. I'm sorry, I'm just way more stressed than I thought I was gonna be." I told him as he started driving.

"Why are you so stressed?" Matt asked me.

"I just..I don't know, what if I can't find the right words to answer the questions or what if my english is going to be bad and I won't be able to get my point across? I'm gonna make a fool out of myself." I started rambling.

"Hey, listen to me Livi. You are gonna go there and you are going to be yourself. Let them know you're from a foreign country. I'm sure they're gonna love you. And if you start to feel overwhelmed, just take deep breaths and remember the 54321 method, okay?" he said, my nerves slowly melting away.

"Okay." I replied and I looked at the time. 8:44 am.

"Don't worry, we're almost there. You're not in the rush." he assured me. After a few moments of silence I spoke up.

"Hold on, why are you up at 8 in the fucking morning?" I asked him.

"Our manager had to get to the airport at 7:30 am and she asked me if I could give her a ride. When I got back I saw you and you looked like you were running late, so I thought I'd help you." he said as I nodded.

"I was rushing. I don't know where I lost time but you literally saved me." I told him as I looked in a small mirror I brought with me, making sure my hair and make-up were looking okay.

"Stop that!" Matt said making me turn to him.

"Stop what?" I asked as he pulled up into the parking lot.

"Trying to fix things that don't need fixing. You look beautiful, Livi! Now go and crush that interview." he said smiling.

"Thank you so much, Matt." I said as I turned around so he wouldn't see me blushing.

"Call mee when you need me to pick you up." he said as I got out of the car.

"I will." I replied and started walking to the coffee shop.

When I went inside, I was stunned. The place was decorated so beautifully, it had a cozy vibe to it. I walked up to the register and the guy that worked there saw me and smiled.

"Good morning, what can I get for you?" he asked me.

"Hello, I'm here for an interview." I told him.

"Oh you must be Olivia." he said as I nodded. "Perfect, come with me."

I followed him into an office as he motioned for me to sit down, which I did. I was fidgeting with my rings as he spoke up.

"Look, let's cut the bullshit. I can tell you're nervous and I really don't want you to feel that way. So let's skip this whole interview protocol. I'm Jay." he said.

"I'm Olivia Parker." I introduced myself and I shook his hand.

"Okay Olivia, why don't you tell me why do you want this job? And be honest with me."

"Well I need this job because I just moved here and I need to be financially stable. And I'm familiar with working in this field."

"Oh, where did you move from?"

"Romania, so if my accent is bad, that's why."

"Like vampires and Dracula and shit like that?"

"Exactly." I said and I laughed.

"Okay, now that you're more comfortable, how many years of experience do you have?"

"I worked four years as a barista."

"You're hired." Jay said and I thought I didn't hear him right.

"Excuse me? Just like that?" I asked unconvinced.

"Just like that. You have more experience than anyone else I've interviewed so if you want it, the job is yours!" Jay said with a smile.

"So when can I start?" I asked him as we both stood up.

"How about tomorrow?"

"Yes! Can I give you a hug?"

"Of course!" he said and I quickly hugged him, thanking him over and over. "See you tomorrow. 10 am." Jay said.

"I'll be here." I said as I made my way to the parking lot. To my surprise, Matt was already here. When he saw me, he unlocked the car and I got in.

"So? How'd it go?" he asked and I could help but smile.

"I got the job! I'm starting tomorrow!" I told him excitedly.

"I knew you could do it!" Matt said as he hugged me, catching me off guard. I hugged back, relaxing in his arms. When we pulled away, he started driving to their house.

"The guys will be so happy for you." he said and that made me think of something.

"What if they think I didn't get the job?" I said looking at him with a mischievous smile on my face.

"Well what do you have in mind?" he asked me.

"You'll see, we just need to go to my place before we go to yours." I told him as I looked out the window.
