Nick's POV
I don't know why but Olivia just left our house. Did we do something to make her uncomfortable? Is she mad at us? I really thought we were getting along well. So many questions were popping in my head.
"What's going on?" Christ asked taking the words right out my mouth.
"I really wish I had an answer." I replied to him when suddenly we heard a knock on our door. The 3 of us shared a confused glance and when Matt opened the door, there was Olivia. She smiled and waved at us and just as I was about to ask her what happened, she spoke up.
"Hi, I'm Olivia and I'm your next door neighbour."
There's no fucking way.
"Are you fucking with us? Cause if you do, it's not funny." I said, in a state of nothing but pure shock.
"I'm not fucking with you, I actually wanted to come meet my neighbours and introduce myself but I was so caught up in furniture shopping and looking for a job that I just didn't have the time. It looks like I met my new neighbours unintentionally though." she answered me and as soon as she was done I pushed past Matt and hugged her tightly, lifting her off the ground a little bit.
"NICK PUT ME DOWN WHAT THE HELL!" she screamed as my brothers were still looking at us. I lowered her to the ground and looked at her.
"I was planning on hanging out with you again after today and now I find out you literally live next door? That's crazy!" I said and she had the biggest smile on her face.
"I know, I still can't believe this is actually happening!" she said making me smile even wider.
I looked at her house, it's pretty much like ours, except it doesn't have a garage. She really has to give me a house tour soon. I looked at my brothers and they were looking at us with big smiles. Everyone is smiling, this is such a happy moment. But as I looked closer I saw something in Matt's eyes. It was something I've never seen before, it looked like...admiration? I didn't understand where was that coming from so I made a mental note to ask him about it later.
Matt's POV
I looked at Olivia and Nick as they were hugging and I couldn't help but admire the sight in front of me. Something about them getting so close in such a short amount of time just made my heart fill with love.
"What's going on inside you head?" Chris asked me as I turned to look at him.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You're staring." Christ replied with a smug grin on his face.
"Just seeing Nick being so close with Olivia makes me so happy. The way they talk so freely to each other and the way they became so comfortable with one another brings me so much joy. I mean did you see them in the car while he talked to Nate? She was resting her head on his shoulder and he had his arm wrapped around her like they knew each other for a lifetime. It's like they were meant to be best friends." I told him and saw Chris smile, now looking at the girl in front of us.
I turned my head towards them and for a second it felt like the time stopped. The way she was looking at Nick, with nothing but adoration in her eyes that were glistening in the sun. Her curls were flowing in the wind, the light giving them a slight red tint. And her smile was so genuine that it made me smile as well. She was just so...beautiful.
I snapped out of my state as she made her way towards me, opening her arms for a hug, which I reciprocated.
"Hey there, neighbour!' I said.
"Hello to you too." she replied as she pulled out of the hug.
"Yo, where my hug at?" Chris asked her smiling.
The second he said that, her face dropped and she looked him dead in the eyes.
"Just for that, you're not getting a hug." Olivia said and walked up the stairs, and I couldn't help but laugh at my brother's face.
"Hey, that's not fair!" he yelled and ran up the stairs after her, me and Nick following closely behind.
When us two got to the living room I could see Chris and Liv on their phone. Nick asked them what they were doing and Chris told him they were searching for words to spell. I remembered the bet we made at the restaurant so I started looking for words too. When we were all done, we took turns spelling and so far it was safe to say that Chris was losing. Badly.
"You guys are not playing fair. That was an easy word!" he said.
"I had to spell "psychiatry". " Liv replied.
"Exactly, easy." Chris said again.
"You had the easiest word and still fucked it up. How does a 21 year old misspell the word TWENTY?" she asked leaving Chris speechless. This was the last round and it was between Nick and Olivia.
"Okay, S-Y-N-O-N-I-" Nick said as I Chris shouted.
"WRONG! There's no "I" in this word. If she gets her next word right, you lose."
"Oh my god, and I KNEW there was no "I" the second I said it." Nick replied an I gave the girl her last word.
"O-B-L-I-T-E-R-A-T-E. FUCK YEAH!" Olivia screamed as she got her word right. "Thanks for giving me that one as a last word cause I literally obliterated you guys at this game!" she said making us laugh.
"Fuck, you're good." Nick told her as he went to give her a hug. Chris gasped which made us all look at him.
"Wait, that means I have to pay for dinner."
"It sure does." Liv said as she patted him on the back. "So" she continued "you guys wanna go to McDonald's?" she asked us.
"Sure!" Nick said. "Who's driving?"
"Matt obviously, since he is the only one who knows how." Olivia said which made me turn to her.
"You don't know how to drive?" I asked surprised.
"Fuck no. I cannot operate a vehicle to save my life." she said laughing.
"Maybe I can teach you one day."
