Larry stood up from his place beside Y/N and went to his recorder(?) to turn off the music, meanwhile Y/N continued to sit on the beanbag. After a couple of seconds the door opened and a blue haired person walked through, closing the door behind himself. Larry was the first to speak as he took his first glance at the new 'face' in his room; "Whoa, nice mask!" Y/N was about to agree with Larry but the new guy beat him to it. "It's a prosthetic." He said. Y/N let out a quick "oh!" as Larry apologized.

"It's cool. I'm used to much worse by now. So I'm glad you like it." The blue haired boy said as Y/N stood up to place his Gear Boy on the small table beside him. He walked next to Larry, feeling a bit awkward since he didn't say anything yet and didn't plan to unless absolutely necessary. So he continued to just let Larry take over the talking. 'It's better to let someone else talk so you can see how the other person acts.' Y/N thought to himself, 'can't embarrass myself when I don't talk.

Larry straightened his posture a bit as he spoke. "So... Do you, like, have no face under there? What happened?" he asked. Sal was rather quick to answer that. "I'd rather not talk about it." He said, glancing around the room.

The taller teen nodded, "Okey, change of subject." he announced, "I'm Larry. I live down here with my mom." Larry looked at Y/N when he finished, expecting he would introduce himself which he did. "And I'm Y/N. I live down the street, a few houses away from the Apartments."

Sal nodded ready to introduce himself as well. "I'm Sal. My friends call me Sally Face. I just moved here with my dad, from New Jersey." he explained, trying to show as much emotion through his eyes as he can.

"Sally Face?" Larry questioned, not sure if the name is supposed to be an insult rather than a nickname. Sal picked up on that and shrugged "I guess I didn't really have any friends, to be honest.." he began to explain, "So once they started calling me that, I figured if I owned the same then the assholes couldn't use it against me." Sal continued, deciding it would be best to use a bit more body language to explain.

Y/N nodded, mentally taking notes of Sal's nickname and the fact that it was supposed to be an insult by other kids. Maybe he'll start owning one or two insults of his own. Though always being called a slur by his friends isn't very much appealing to him. "You're a complicated dude, aren't you, Sal? You're pretty strange. I like you. We three are gonna get along great." Larry commented, trying to get Y/N to chip in as well, but the only thing he got from him was another nod and a smile.

Sal laughed, "That's what your mom said too." he informed, smiling underneath his prosthetic. Larry's smile grew a bit wider in amusement. "Mother knows best." He replied, shrugging.

Silence filled the room since none of the boys knew what to talk about now. Y/N opened his mouth to ask something but he closed it again when Sal spoke first. "Why do you live in the basement?" He asked Larry, tilting his head to the side as his pigtails swayed in the same direction.

Larry shrugged again, pulling his hands out of his pockets as he answered, "My mom always says it's 'cause we gotta guard the place from rats. But I'm pretty sure she gets this room rent free with the maintenance gig. It's cool though, I don't mind. I get to listen to music as loud as I want when she's not around. Also when Y/N loses a video game, he gets to curse me and, or his Gear Boy out as loud as he wants." Sal nodded, seeming to be satisfied with that answer. "Nice" "Yeah, it's like my own little bat cave"

Y/N tried to ask his question again but Sal already had another thing to say, which Y/N didn't mind too much yet. "What happened in 403–" "SHHH!,"Larry cut him off quickly, catching Y/N's attention since he was zoning out, "... Not so loud, man." Larry semi whispered.
