Project Phoenix

Prologue

I am Phoenix. I am fifteen, I have brown hair and blue eyes. I live in New York and have a ten year old sister named Pandora. We live in a white house three stories high. My bedroom is in the basement. The walls are pink and yellow chevron, and the carpet is gray. Thank goodness I get my own bathroom. There are a lot of books in my room and I usually spend most of my summer reading or hanging out with my best friend.

I am almost always with my best friend Claire. We do everything together. We go shopping, watch movies, and have sleepovers almost every weekend. Claire has blond hair and brown eyes. we've been best friends since kindergarten. Claire and I like so many of the same things. We both like reading, shopping, movies, parties, and going on vacation.

When I'm on my way to meet Claire, something bad happens. I will never see anyone I love again. I will never be myself again. I am trapped in a skyscraper and being used as a test monkey for scientists who are trying to destroy the whole human race.

Find out what happens to Phoenix and her family. Find out if she will ever become normal again. The world could change sooner than we think. The human population could go extinct. Could Phoenix save the world from a human transformation? Or will everything change forever.
