Chapter 9: A New World

"Hey, love birds. Come take a look at this." Ethan yelled.

Jayden and I got up and walked over to Ethan and Claire. Claire was standing at the edge of the clouds jaw dropped. We walked over and did the same. "Wow. This is amazing." I said.

There was a beautiful green forest with all different types of trees. You could see patches clear blue pond with waterfalls flowing into it. There were higher patches of rock with pools of water and cherry blossom trees surrounding it. I also saw some white sandy beaches with palm trees and rock formations scattered around. This place was beautiful. 

"Let's go check it out." Jayden said. 

He looked over at me and gave me a smirk as Ethan got closer to the edge. We both sneak up behind Ethan and push him off the edge. "Ahhhhhh! Help me!" He yelled. I swooped down and grabbed him in midair. Then we landed on the ground and waited for the others.

When Jayden and Claire came we all started laughing so hard we fell to the ground. "Not funny guys. You scared me half to death." 

"We were just messing around." Jayden managed to get out. 

After we recovered from laughing Claire said, "We should walk around and check this place out." So we all began to walk around and admire the beautiful new world.

We were walking for a while before we found a place that looked like it could be a good new home. There were two very tall trees with holes in them. There was also a pond and colorful flowers at the bottom. I could see a few waterfalls in the distance. 

I flew up in a tree and everyone followed. Inside I discovered what looked to be like a home. There were many rooms and everything was made of wood. When you first walked in there was a kitchen and a dining room across from it. There weren't any walls around the kitchen which was odd. On the other side of the kitchen there were walls to what I'm guessing were bedrooms. I went in and found a beautiful bedroom. There wasn't much in it but the walls amazed me with their beautiful wood design. I found a hammock hanging from two smaller trees, and a canvas, an easel, some paint, and a paint brush. There was one other room identical to the one I'm in beside it.

I left to check out the kitchen. There was a refrigerator, an oven, a microwave, a sink, a blender, and some cupboards. Inside the cupboards there was wood plates, bowls, cups, forks, spoons, and knives. I thought this was supposed to be a home for creatures but this place is nice, I mean there is electricity and running water. But I'm assuming we have to use the bathroom outside. 

There was also a living room. There was a wood couch that could seat two people and two smaller chairs that could only seat one person. The cushions were sky blue with royal purple pillows. There was a long wood coffee table in front of the long couch and a smaller one at each end of the couch. 

"Why don't we go and see if the other tree house is the same." Claire said. 

We went to see the other tree house. The couch cushions in the living room were red and the pillows were orange. Otherwise, they looked alike. Since there were only two tree houses Claire and I decided to stay with each other and Jayden and Ethan stayed together. 

"Why don't we go find supper." Jayden suggested. 

"Sure. What should we get?" I asked.

"Fish would be easy." Claire said. 

We went outside and hunted for fish by the pond. We all did pretty good at 'fish hunting' except Ethan. I caught four, Jayden caught five, Claire caught three, and Ethan caught one baby fish. "Hey, you did awesome Ethan." Jayden sarcastically said. 

"It's not my fault I'm not a 'super cool bird-tiger.'"

"I'm a 'super cool phoenix- tiger' not a 'super cool bird-tiger." 

"We should all be happy with what we are. I mean, you could've been a rock." I told them. 

"I would've like Jayden better as rock." Ethan said. 

Jayden smacked the back of Ethan's little fox head. 

"Let's find some seasonings for the fish." Claire suggested trying to break up the fight. 

Luckily, Jayden knew his plants. I don't how after he's been in the skyscraper forever. We picked some basil, parsley, and dill. We went back into my tree house to make dinner. Claire seasoned the fish and I cooked them. Jayden disappeared and came back with some raspberries. I found a large plate to put the fish on and some smaller plates for each of us. Claire helped fill bowls with water since we can't pick up cups or drink out of them. 

The fish was delicious. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The raspberries were ripe and juicy. When we finished Ethan washed the dishes, but he had to stand on a chair to reach the sink. Jayden wiped off the table with a wash cloth that he found in a drawer. 

We finished supper late so we went to bed after. "Good night girls." Jayden said.

"Good night." Me and Claire both said at the same time. 

Claire and I each went to our bedrooms after saying good night. 

I can't believe what happened to me today. Me and my friends flew in the clouds then discovered a brand new world. Now we live in luxury tree houses.
