Time to let go

Alana,
My cousin come in and helps me to the bathroom gets rag a washes my make up off my face and the tear stains.

I promised myself when I left him I would never go back to that never go back to not being in control of my life. I promised God if he got me out I would do whatever he wants me to do. But he's back how? Why? I felt like I could never be scared again. Look at me now.

After my cousin gets done she puts me in the bed and goes downstairs. The door opens and I thought it was Dajai but a strong pair of arms wrap around me I flintch at first. I look at his tattoos thru the moonlight coming in my room. I turn around and look at him.

He looks down at me and caresses my cheek.

" He hit you?" He asks

I just close my eyes and my mouth trying to fight back the tears. He pulls me closer to him.

" I won't let him hurt you again"

Is the last thing I hear before I fall asleep in his arms.

I wake early the next morning. I smell food cooking. I yawn and stretch and hop out of bed.
I walk downstairs and walk into the kitchen

I see him in the refrigerator looking for something.

" looking for something?" I ask him

he looks up from the refrigerator and smiles

" nahh I got it " he says going to the stove

" let me help"

I go to pick up the bacon I didn't know it was cooked so I picked it up and dropped it immediately feeling it was hot.

" ouch...Aug I'm sorry" I say

I look up and don't see Aug I see Kenny looking angry I rub my eyes.

" look what you did!" He says yelling

" I...I...I.. I'm sorry"

He slaps me sending me into the counter

He then bends down and starts punching me in the face. I cry and cry but nothing comes out. Then he starts choking me

" Alana... Alana!!" I hear my name being called

I instantly jump up in my bed and I'm sweating and crying and that it was a dream. I rub my hand on my neck

August touches my back and I jump

" You igh?" Aug asks

" Yea I'm ok" I say laying back down

" What happened?" He ask

I sigh

" we don't have to talk--" I cut him off

" I was just a young girl when Kenny came to our church and since that day I had a crush on him" I close my eyes

" back then guys they they never paid attention to me nor did they like me I wasn't the best looking girl around.... But once I became a little older and dressed differently got contacts he became interested" a tear rolls down my cheek and he wipes it away

" my father praised him he was like his son... So we were perfect my dad liked him and all my family..... Then we got engaged" I sigh

" We were so in love I thought 7 months after we got married he lost his job and started beating me..... One day I got tired and left I didn't get a divorce...... "

He just looks down at me with his eyes studying my face

" What?" I say looking down blushing

He lifts my chin with his finger he brings he face close to mine I feel his breath on my lips

" I need you....." He says

" What... What?" I say my breathe speeding up a little bit

" Nothing" he tucks his lip in his mouth and backs away

August ,

" I need you...." I say

" what....what?" She says

Wait what am I saying she got Trey and Tyga I know she has feelings for Trey... Tyga ion know... But trey you can see she wants him but can't have him

" Nothing " I say tucking my lip in my mouth

I lay my head down on the pillow and wrap my arms around her. This is closes I'll ever get to having a girl like Alana be mine for the long run..... I don't know what it is I just wanna love her like no one else Her so called husband didn't show her I want to do that. I want to take her out and show her off let the world know she mine and mine only.

But that ain gone happen with a nigga like me it ain No love with me she gone get hurt in the process of just loving me. Shit let me sleep.

I fall asleep almost instantly

The next Day ,

I woke up at 12 o'clock in the evening I wake up Alana.
The door bell rings
I jog downstairs and get it its Trey standing there

" Aye wassup Aug" he says dapping me up

" Wassuh" I say

" Alana here right?"

" Yea she in tha bathroo'" I say

" Coo" he say walking over to her couch and sitting down

I walk into the kitchen

I hear footsteps coming down the stairs

" Trey!" Alana says jumping in Trey arms

" Wassup snookie?" He says laughing

" Whatcha doing here?" She ask

" I wanna take you to lunch" he says smiling

" Oh ok let me get dressed then" she says running upstairs

I come out the kitchen and follow her upstairs

" Lana I'm heading out.... " I say

" Awe ok..." she says pouting

" I'll be back later...." I say

" mkay... Bye...." She says waving

" Alright Bye I luhh you..." I say accidentally

" what ?" She says her face turning up

I clear my throat

" I said hope you have fun with Trey" I say walking out the room

I jog downstairs

" Peace Trey " I say before stepping out the house
