anywho, silly headcanon that there is exactly one photo of ash's mom that was left behind as the only proof of her existence, other than ash. griffin gave it to ash one day and ash kept it underneath his pillow at night, hoping that if he hoped harder, she'd come back sooner. unfortunately, she never did come back. ash had long since left that hope behind, but her photograph remains under the pillow of little aslan's bed, which remained forever unmade in his childhood home
