As the Park family prepared to leave, the room was filled with polite goodbyes and warm smiles. Mr. Kim shook Mr. Park’s hand, while Mrs. Kim exchanged pleasantries with Mrs. Park.

“It was a pleasure having you over for dinner,” Mr. Kim said with a gracious smile. “We look forward to continuing our discussions soon.”

“Thank you for your hospitality,” Mrs. Park replied sweetly. “We appreciate the opportunity to discuss the future of our families.”

Jennie’s smile was strained as she watched her parents leave with the Kims. She could feel the weight of their expectations, but for now, she had to hold it together.

As the front door closed behind the departing guests, the Kim family members began to head to their respective rooms. Jisoo and Lia exchanged a brief glance before heading upstairs, while Taehyung lingered in the foyer, lost in thought.

As soon as Jennie and her parents arrive home, the mood shifts dramatically.

“Jennie, sit down,” Mrs. Park said, her tone leaving no room for discussion.

Jennie took a seat, her nerves on edge. She could already sense the impending pressure from her parents.

Mrs. Park wasted no time. “We need to discuss the situation with Taehyung. This marriage must happen, and we need to ensure that Taehyung is committed.”

Jennie didn't want this marriage herself but she couldn't tell it to her parents so she used Taehyung as an excuse and said “But Taehyung said he needs time to think. Isn’t it his decision too?”

Mr. Park’s face hardened. “This is not a matter of personal choice; it’s a strategic necessity. We cannot afford to let him hesitate.”

Mrs. Park leaned forward, her gaze piercing. “You need to persuade him to agree to the marriage. It’s imperative that he understands the importance of this alliance for both our families.”

Jennie’s voice was hesitant. “How do you want me to do that?”

Mr. Park’s expression was stern. “We’re counting on you to make sure Taehyung is on board. You need to approach him and make it clear that this marriage is essential. Do whatever it takes to secure his commitment.”

Mrs. Park nodded in agreement. “We’ve laid the groundwork, but you need to finalize it. This is not just about your future this is about ensuring the stability and success of our family. You need to make it happen.”
