Angel, dear Angel, now you're gone,
Your departure left us shattered, like a broken song.
A part of us went with you, a piece of our heart,
Leaving us with memories, and a sorrow that never departs.
Oh, how I wish you never left, how I yearn for one more day,
To hold you close, to tell you how much I love you, in every way.
Death, how could you be so cruel, taking the one I adore,
My comforter, my leader, my friend, my everything, and more?
I know you're in a better place, where love and joy abound,
But selfishly, I wish you were still here, with me, on this ground.
I miss you more than words can say, my heart aches with every breath,
Longing for one last hug, one last chance to say goodbye, to death.
If only I could turn back time, spend one more day with you,
Doing all the things we loved, making memories anew.
But death took you away, without a warning, without a goodbye,
Leaving me with tears, and a heart that's broken, and can't deny.
Rest in peace, dear Angel, may your soul find eternal peace,
May your memory stay with me, and never cease.
I'll hold on to the memories, and cherish them with all my might,
And hope that someday, we'll meet again, in a brighter light.
