Chapter 90: I love you

Here is the chapter that everyone has been waiting for (including myself). A reunion between Laylana and the gang, but I feel like many of you are excited for her reunion with Leo. Hopefully I do it justice. 

Did I have these scenes written out for months in a Google doc since the beginning of this series? Maybe. Did I copy-paste it? No because I'm stubborn and wanted to rewrite everything instead of making it easier on myself. 

ALSO! If you can't tell, I've chosen to completely ignore the shit that happened in Trials of Apollo. Could you imagine what would happen if Laylana came back and found out that her best friend was dead? That is asking her to either be mentally damaged for the rest of her life, or destroy the world and herself in the process. (Maybe both). We'll just say Apollo had some other punishment that didn't include the demigods and death.

"Nico..." Laylana breathed out as she laid eyes on her brother. Both his and Will's eyes were prickling with tears. Nico broke from Will's grasp and surged forward, throwing his arms around her tightly. Laylana hugged him back tightly as he began to sob into her shoulder. 

"I knew it, I knew you weren't dead." He mumbled into her shirt. "You told me I wouldn't feel your death again. You fucking liar. This makes three times now!" 

"I know. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Nico." Laylana carefully ran a hand through his hair to try and calm him down. "I'm so sorry I took so long to come back. I know I'm an idiot, you can curse me out all you want." 

"No... no." Nico pulled back from the hug as he looked at her for the first time, properly, in 8 months. "I'm just glad to have my sister back." 

The dam broke for Laylana. Hearing those words, she let out a choked sob and brought Nico into another hug. She felt another presence beside her, and when she looked up for a moment Will was right there with tears rolling down his cheeks. She opened one of her arms and wrapped it around him, bringing him into a joint hug. She didn't know how long the three of them sat there as Chiron ushered people away, leaving Laylana's friends there so she wasn't too overly crowded. He also trotted away shortly after 

"Nico this is really unlike you." Laylana let out another sob as she tried to lighten the mood. 

"You'll find a lot of things are different now," Nico replied. 

"I'm surprised you're still here... But I'm glad you are." 

"Blame a certain blond son of Apollo." 

"You took care of him for me Solace?" Laylana joked as she caught a glance at Will.

"Let's say I took your letter to heart." Will teased.

"Hey, you didn't make the first move." 

"Oh my Gods." Laylana pulled away as she looked at the two of them. "You two? Really?!" 

"You kind of called it." Will grinned at her. 

"Just the wrong way around," Nico commented as they finally pulled away completely. Laylana felt a small sense of pride through the overwhelming fear she had.  Laylana wiped the tears from her face as she grinned at the two boys. 

"Gods above, you have no idea how good it is to see all of you." One by one, she was brought into a hug by each of her friends from camp; Connor (who also punched her in the shoulder for leaving them), Nyssa, Jake, and Harley all following shortly behind them. She also hugged Grover again, along with his girlfriend, Juniper. 

"What happened? You ended up in Greece?" Will asked, glancing over at Calypso.

"Right above Ogygia. Landed there, very gracefully might I add-"
