Laylana awoke to the sound of footsteps thundering down the hall. A knock at the door sounded as Leo also woke, groggily, and the door cracked open before either could stop it. Jason peaked his head in, a worried expression on his face before it turned confused.
"Uh... am I interrupting?" Laylana and Leo's faces turned bright red.
"Ever heard of waiting until I answer to open the door?" Leo asked, pulling his arm out from around Laylana.
"Sorry, sorry." Jason coughed. "Um... Percy and Annabeth are missing."
"WHAT?!" Laylana lifted her head and hopped over Leo. "Why didn't you lead with that?"
"Well, because you guys were..." Jason's voice trailed off.
"Okay, get out." Leo grumbled, getting out of bed as well. "Laylana, you should go look. I'll be out there in a second."
"No shit," Laylana's voice trailed off. "Jason?"
"Yeah?" Jason glanced outside the room, seeming to look anywhere but at his best friends.
"Please, don't tell anyone. I'm not up for being murdered or having my boyfriend murdered." Laylana pleaded. "I'll cover for you and Piper anytime."
"I won't, just get out of here." Jason whisper-shouted. Laylana sent Leo a grin before rushing out, Jason closing the door behind him.
She ran around the ship, calling for Percy and Annabeth before colliding with Frank in the hallway. They both yelped in surprise before realizing who it was.
"Sorry!" Frank slunk back a bit, remembering what Laylana had told him last night, how she had threatened to throw him off the ship.
"It's fine, any sign of them?" Laylana asked.
"No, I was just going down to the stables. It's one of the only places we haven't checked." Frank replied.
"Let me come with then, come on." Laylana pushed past Frank as they rushed down to the stables. They searched through the stalls, only coming across the couple at the very end, cuddled up together and only now starting to wake up as they found them.
"Oh... You are in so much trouble." Frank muttered.
"That's an understatement." Laylana snorted. Percy and Annabeth woke up as they stood there. Frank looked terrified, Laylana was just trying not to laugh.
"What... ?" Percy rubbed his eyes. "Oh, we just fell asleep."
Frank averted his eyes as if the sight of them together might burn him.
"Everyone thinks you've been kidnapped," he said. "We've been scouring the ship. When Coach Hedge finds out— oh, gods, you've been here all night?"
"Oh my Gods, Frank it's not a big deal." Laylana shrugged, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall.
"Frank!" Annabeth's ears were as red as strawberries. "We just came down here to talk. We fell asleep. Accidentally. That's it."
"Kissed a couple of times," Percy said.
"Naturally." Laylana nodded.
Annabeth glared at him and Laylana. "Not helping!"
"We'd better..." Frank pointed to the stable doors. "Uh, we're supposed to meet for breakfast. Would you explain what you did—I mean didn't do? I mean... I really don't want that faun—I mean satyr—to kill me."
Frank ran. Laylana stared at the couple for a few moments, silently laughing behind her hand as they got up.
"Layla, shut up, or I will tell Coach about the times you snuck out to Bunker 9 after curfew." Annabeth hissed.
