Today was not a good day for Timmy.
His parent's had been gone for a "business trip" for about three days now, and he was left with Vicky since. On top of that, Mr. Crocker seemed to be in a particularly worse mood than he usually was, and has doubled down on his cruelty. The only comfort system he seemed to have was Riley and his fairies...
... Plus, he had the memories he had of spending time with Queen Galaxia in the Crystal Realm. Ever since he and Riley, as well as Cosmo, Wanda, Poof and their pets poofed into the realm a week or two prior, Timmy had been thinking about that place on the regular. It was a great source of comfort for the young boy, so he tried to think about it as often as he could. Especially the time he had with Queen Galaxia. Timmy smiled to himself while looking down at his desk, but that smile faltered as his teacher's voice shouted at him.
"So, we like to smile during class, do we, Turner? Well then, I suppose you won't mind doing some lines for me. AFTER SCHOOL!" Mr. Crocker screamed. "... Yes, Mr. Crocker..." Timmy's smile faltered. As Mr. Crocker went back to the lesson, Timmy felt the necklace that Queen Galaxia gave him in his pocket.
'Boy, do I wish I could see you again, Galaxia. I could really use someone to talk to right now.' He thought to himself.
"Hey, Timmy? You okay?" Riley asked her best friend in concern. "Just... thinking about the queen again," Timmy whispered to the young voodoo witch. "Is that weird?" He asked her. "No. I don't think so. I kinda miss it in the Crystal Realm too." Riley whispered back. "You do?" Timmy looked surprised.
"Sure. Maybe we can go back there in a few days," Riley suggested. Timmy looked to see if Mr. Crocker was looking his way before turning and smiling at his best friend. "Yeah. I could really use that." He replied to her. It was an optimistic thought but - unfortunately for Timmy - it just wasn't in their favor.
Mr. Crocker seemed to do whatever it took to get Timmy more and more distraught.
The day ended very late for Timmy as he walked slowly home to try and avoid Vicky as much as possible. He didn't care that she had driven to school to pick him up. He was at least going to try and have a few more moments to himself before he had to face her. Finally, he returned home, tired but happy that he could go to bed and ignore Vicky altogether. He opened the door and walked inside, tossing his backpack on the ground. Not even two minutes later, he hears a vehicle screech to a halt and doesn't have to look out his window to know who it was.
"Well... might as well get this over with," Timmy sighed and sat down on the couch. The front door slammed and Vicky walked in holding a golf club in her right hand. "You twerp! I wasted gas driving to pick you up! So now you're gonna pay by sitting still while I whack some sense into you!" She screeched, holding the club with both hands now. "I'm sorry, Vicky. I just wanted to walk," Timmy said quietly. "Don't care." Vicky said "sweetly" before swinging the golf club at him. Timmy jumped off the couch and ran through the house to avoid the cruel babysitter.
Eventually, he locked himself in his room, pushing his dresser in front of the bed so Vicky couldn’t get in. This didn't stop her from trying though. The doorknob wiggled a few times before it thumped from her attempts of breaking the door down. "Open up, twerp! I'm not finished with you! You still have four more days with me before your parents come back!" Vicky yelled in rage. "F-Four more days...?" Timmy sat on his bed.
What was he gonna do?
... Why would his parents be gone for this long?!
Timmy got closer to the fishbowl where his fairies were. "Why would Mom and Dad be gone for a solid week on a business trip?" He asked them desperately. "Sport, I wish I knew," Wanda shrugged. "But even we're not psychic. We don't know what your parents are thinking when they're so far away."
