Nadia's Pov
Dinner was extremely boring with Gustavo there trying to make conversation with me the whole time and the worst part was that my father forced me to stay at the table while Gustavo kept talking and praising the house and my family, I was like what is this! When I came down the stairs and saw that raccoon there.
My father wanted to force me to interact with Gustavo, because he was a guest! If I didn't talk to him I would be being rude, but I didn't want to talk to him, I wanted him far away from me and when he spoke to me I would just nod or say short sentences like yes or no, my parents still looked at me with a bit of disapproval in their eyes, those disapproving looks and why would I be rude and treating the guest with indifference but I didn't care I just wanted Gustavo to go to his house and that boring dinner to be over soon.
My father even forced me to accompany Gustavo to the exit of the house and against my will I did it while listening to Gustavo giving me a series of compliments saying that my house was beautiful, that my mother was cool and things like that.
Gustavo and I were at the door of my house when he stopped and wanted to talk to me more and I wanted him to go to his house quickly and said - Get out!
- It's okay Nadia! It's late huh - said the raccoon.
- We'll see each other tomorrow then! - said the raccoon with a smile on his face and crossing the street
- I never wanted to see you again - I thought.
Gustavo said goodbye to me as he crossed the street and I simply looked at the door of my house feeling relieved that he was no longer there.
I thought I was free now but I was wrong, my parents looked at me with a disapproving look.
- Oh no, I thought I was free - I sighed irritated because I knew what those looks meant, boring conversations.
- Have patience! - I thought.
My two parents and I spent twenty minutes having very boring conversations, they said that I was too arrogant, too rude, too difficult to get along with and that I had to change my ways because my behavior was getting in my way and blah blah blah blah, I pretended to listen but I didn't give a damn and after that boring conversation ended I went upstairs and locked myself in my room, I just wanted to be alone after that difficult and boring day.
I put on my pajamas and lay down on the bed, trying to sleep right away, but I just couldn't and I couldn't stop thinking about Rafael. I was starting to feel hurt because he didn't respond to my messages anymore. We were dating and had sworn to stay together for life, but his silence was already hurting me.
I saw the cell phone on the desk. I didn't really like using my cell phone at night because it disturbed my sleep, but I really wanted to know if Rafael had answered my messages. I really wanted to believe that he hadn't answered them because he was busy or something.
- Should I pick up this cell phone or not? - I thought.
A voice told me not to pick up the cell phone. It told me that I would only get angry because Cristina could have sent several mocking audio messages. But at the same time, I was very curious to know if Rafael had answered the messages.
I got out of bed and went to pick up the cell phone on the desk. There were several WhatsApp notifications. I was excited and went to check the messages. They were just messages from the school group. Rafael was online, but he hadn't answered the messages I sent him. I typed "hi" and he stopped being online.
- Why don't you answer those damn messages? - I typed, irritated, but he didn't answer.
I went to check the group from my old school and there were a lot of messages coming in and there were several audio messages sent by Cristina.
