Meher plopped down on her bed and heaved a huge sigh of relief after the exhausting day she had at the hospital.

Well the day couldn't just be summed up as 'exhausting', after all, she was slapped by a patient's mother who had been previously informed that there was only a 25% chance of his surgery being successful.

And as she was a junior doctor the weight of delivering the news fell on her shoulders.

Welp! This was not the first time, neither will it be the last, she was almost desensitized to this.

Scrolling through her phone she abruptly cleared the notifications looking at the 60 missed calls.

'It's been 3 weeks, is he still not tired? '

Meher thought exasperatedly, ever since that fateful day her phone is on a constant ringing mode by none other than Faris calls.

'Why is he expending so much of his time and energy on me, I don't know.

Was I much more important to him than I thought I was? '

And then she slapped herself tightly and reprimanded her idiotic self, "Be self aware, self awareness is a desirable quality. Have some shame and don't be so delusional. Maybe he just wants to confront you about the fiasco with Asad. "

"Aadya dude what's the rush, do you know I got a heart attack while reading your texts. " Meher called out while entering Aadya's home.

Looking at said girl casually eating popcorn while sitting on the couch Meher let out a frustrated scream.

Opening her phone and shoving it Aadya's face she started lecturing her.

"Kab sudhrogi behen tum, mujhe heart attack dila kar hi tumhare dil ko sukoon milega kya?

Meher come fast

Meher it's urgent

Jaldi aao

OMG I think I need to go to the hospital

Meher the house is empty, please come.

I need your help

Please I don't know what to do

What the heck do these messages mean Aadya!!!!! " She thundered.

Aadya didn't utter a word, she just gave her a serene smile and started pushing Meher to her room despite her protests.

And in the end when Meher entered the room and saw the person sitting on the bed she made a u-turn, planning to run away but the door was locked.

Her pleads to open the door fell on  deaf ears, so in the end she had to accept defeat and turn around.

Looking at the man who was observing her the entire time she acted like she was locked up with a monster, Meher took a deep breath.

Trying to feign nonchalance she smiled lightly at him, " Faris Bhai, when did you get discharged. Hehe look at me I didn't even see you sitting here. Aadya is such an idiot, it seems like she locked both of us in here. "

Faris looked unamused.

Of course he will be

"If you had picked up my calls, you would've known when I got discharged."

And the smile disappeared from her face.

Cursing Aadya in her mind, Meher took a resolute decision.
