Sonic Ultimate - Volume 2 - Shadows of the Past

Chapter 1 - Dark Beginnings

*The Egg Fleet. An armada of hovercraft warships designed by Dr Eggman, is headed towards the peak of Earth. Ready to fire a Roboticization beam onto the planet, and convert all organic matter into cold, soulless machinery. A Twisted Utopia of Ivo Robotnik's design.*

Stonedroid: "Only a few more minutes until the Genesis Beam is ready, Doctor! In a matter of seconds, this world will be yours!"

Eggman: "Ohohohoho!!! Excellent!!! It was too easy bypassing the Emerald Shrine's DNA tracking security system with Metal Sonic's power source to steal the Chaos Emeralds, AND the Master Emerald!"

Stonedroid: "It's a good thing you went back to Little Planet to collect the Quill powering the original model!"

Eggman: "Indeed, Stone! Get me my pre-victory latte to celebrate, post haste!"

Stonedroid: "Right away, sir! You don't think the hedgehog and his friends will be a problem?"

Eggman: "Unlikely. Those neanderthals don't even have a clue of what we're up to! Even if they come, they don't stand a chance against the Egg Fleet!!! AND Metal Sonic, of course!"

*Suddenly, a crash is heard in the distance. Sonic and his team have crashed onto the Egg Fleet with Warp Rings. Ready to fight Eggman, and save the world once again.*

Sonic: "Alright Eggman... Let's get this party started!"

Eggman: "NGHHHHHH, FIREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

*Eggman fires all weapons at Sonic and Co, speeding towards the Egg Carrier at lightning fast speed. The Badniks are deployed, but none of them stand a chance against Sonic, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Sonia, and Manic.*

*Amy bashes bots and deflects fire at them using her Piko Piko Hammer. Tails uses his gadgets and Cy-Blaster to pierce through the Badniks. Knuckles punches through two Egg Drones and uses them as boxing gloves to strike even harder. All while Sonic, Sonia, and Manic are speeding and Spindashing through it all, and racing towards Eggman.*

Knuckles: "How did Robotnik get his hands on the Emeralds?! You swore your machine would protect them, Tails!!!"

Tails: "I don't know! He must've bypassed the Security System's DNA tracker somehow!!! He had to have used something like blood, or fur, or-"

Sonic: "Or a quill...."

Amy: "How could Eggman have gotten a quill from Sonic?"

Sonia: "Doesn't matter! Let's smash first, and ask questions later!"

Knuckles: "I like the way you think, Sonia!"

*As they avoid the defenses and destroy the Badniks along the way, they finally make it to the Egg Carrier*

Eggman: "Well, color me impressed! Didn't think you'd actually make it this far! Welcome to my floating masterpiece, the Egg Carrier!!! The crown jewel of my Egg Fleet!"

Sonic: "Alright doc, what scheme do you got cooked up this time?"

Eggman: "Oh, I'm glad you asked!!! After studying the Emeralds and learning of their reality bending properties, I've discovered they can be used to realize my dream scheme! Roboticization!!!"

Sonic: "Ah. The mad scientist who builds evil robots wants to turn everything into machinery. How original."

Eggman: "Snark all you want! But with the once lost power of Chaos Control, I can use the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds' combined powers to turn this whole world into a utopia of my design!!!"

Sonic: "Right, so you continue doing your thing, I'm gonna go get the emeralds and stop you again."

Eggman: "Oh, I don't think so! Metal! Show this rodent what you're made of!!!!!"
