What appears to be true is not always the case; each side has two sides to the story.

Everything had changed, and I could not bring myself to look up at the man I used to freely talk to.

Once a haven for our shared dreams and whispered secrets, the cafe now felt like a prison of silence. Like a taste of betrayal, the scent of coffee, which was once a source of comfort, choked me.

I could not stop wondering: what happened to his friends? He seemed so different, even in his conversations. He was a well-known CEO, an eligible bachelor, and he started everything from scratch.

Fortunately, it is Sunday, but we still have a lot of work to do. We opened a small restaurant, not a hotel.

"Waleikumsalam"My main question was, "Why are you here after five years?" and he answered in a smooth voice, but it made no difference.

Unspoken words and the weight of our history hung heavy in the air around us.
"This is how we are going to meet, then?like strangers?"He asked, and I lowered my head, wondering what he expected from me after all the unpleasant memories and betrayal he and his friends had left me with. They had harmed me so much that I had lost my self-esteem; people's words can cause pain without them even realizing it; friendships take years to develop and minutes to sever; they never made an effort to get close to me.

"Wow, at least you two had a conversation,"She brought tea for me and coffee for him, but Dilan's voice diverted my attention, and I just shook my head.

I am aware that everyone deserves a second chance, but it is not always that simple. What actions would you have taken if you were in my shoes?

"So, what have you done in Turkey after all these years? If it is not the case, you guys must have moved out permanently.Since your families have been close and in communication, I have heard from my uncle and aunt.

I gave him that old look, but it seems like it went to blind eye. "I have come to mend things which I left broken many years ago," he said honestly, and my eyes widened. I just hope he does not give her any hope and turns it into a practical joke.

She is already hoping for something, and my only hope is that she will not leave me.

"Assalamualeikum," Uncle and Aunt interrupted the conversation, and we all responded in unison, "Waleikumsalam." They had woken up, so I moved and sat next to them, feeling somewhat at ease. They know everything, but they have been easy with him because of the relationships; we should not end relationships despite past disagreements because nobody is perfect.

"What brought you here?" my uncle asked, and I turned to face Dilan, who had just come in smiling.

"Please accept this invitation from Mom and Dad; we hope to see you all at the opening ceremony of our new hotel and restaurant tomorrow, insha'Allah."I heard him extend the invitation, and my dad accepted—of course he would.goals of a best friend.

Uncle simply did not say, "We will be there, now I am going for some work and will leave you youngsters to enjoy." Aunty simply grinned at me, gave Halil a shoulder pat, and they both went to their room. I looked at Dilan, but she simply shook her head in denial.

Another well-known voice said, "Assalamualeikum," and we all responded, "Waleikumsalam," in unison. My eyes suddenly popped out, wondering what in the world was going on.Does it seem like I am missing something?

I was also intrigued by the fact that Baran and Halil were conversing as though they had been friends for a very long time. What is the significance of that?

"Where are u you lost?"They exchanged glances when Baran asked, "Dilan, can we go get some snacks and prepare the theater to watch a movie?" It was friendship time.
Let us get ready. As these guys were talking about something, I heard him mutter, "Traitors."

He sat a little distance away and said in a low voice, "So you will be like this with me just like you used to be in the beginning?"

Are any of you worthy of being in the same room as me after everything that happened?particularly you?You believe that you will vanish and then suddenly reappear in my life, so I will pretend that nothing is wrong. Did you even forget what you two did?Shall I remind you?Who am I speaking to, I forgot?Someone would rather believe a girl with the same status as you than believe me, would not they?
What on earth are you doing here?

"Listen, please, just once, listen to me,"I heard him speak. Crack at the end, oh how does it feel to beg now? I said the same thing five years ago, but nobody even looked my way or listened to me when I told them that I was framed and trapped by a guy, and they all believed him. What about my respect, though?
My uncle and aunt soon learned that it had been destroyed in front of everyone, but they trusted me more than anyone else.

"I am sure your friend Faizan is waiting for you,"The word still sounded so bitter, but I told him to go see his high-class people and your girlfriend instead of wasting time with a girl like me. Why should not it even affect me anymore?
