Overly Reincarnated

CHAPTER 2

I am really not the jumpy type, tripping and falling is not a habit of mine but when I suddenly bumped into king Loid it took me by surprise and I screamed and not the calm, cool, surprised kind of screaming I mean in the I am standing in front of a monster kind of screaming. I technically am but he definitely was shocked by that and reached out for his sword in defense.

I calmly composed myself and simply said "sorry for startling for startling you my engagement got cancelled and I was just simply letting out frustration"

His expression changed and he put his sword back, he responded by saying "you look happy for someone whose engagement was called off."

"Well I never really liked her to begin with I was just doing it for family formalities" he was still looking at me with distrust as if I was going to pull out a knife from somewhere.

Slowly I walked to the corridor with the window and tried to make small talk with him "King Loid von Stran may I ask what you are doing here "

  He frowned and said "King, my father is still the king and I have never addressed myself as that. Who are you."

I suddenly regained common sense and realized that he won't become king until five years from now when the king died from an unknown illness and a few months later a war started and the sage kingdom turned the imperial continent into a blood filled empire.

I regained my composure and said "my apologies still a little shaken with the meeting with the king and I am still figuring out how to explain this to my father" finally made it to the window I started calculating my jump thankfully my fifth life as an assassin helped.

Prince Loid looked at me and said "but the stairs that way"

I didn't let him finish and I have already jumped out the window easily gliding down the wall and landing on the heels of my feet and rolling on the floor to cushion the fall with that I made it to the river and enter a boat as shortcut and arrived an hour earlier than usual I would have been happy if I didn't run into the people waiting for me in front of my house.

I also wondered how my parents found out about my engagement before I got home my bitch of a fiancée princess Victoria was standing there with a smug look on her face and next to her was my parents.

The moment she was me she left my parents side and came after me like I was going to run away "though you were going to escape didn't you, you ran away from your trial and left before your final judgment now you run back home like nothing happened what do you have to say for yourself."
The sight of the first princess and the gathering of royal guards have caused a crowd to gather and I do not want to cause a seen.

And as if planned she began to raise her voice "after a nobleman like yourself slandering the name of your kingdom was not enough you began to assault me for no reason and then you run back home like none of it is your business"

I can easily ignore what she is saying but the look of disappointment on my parent's faces is what got to me so I pushed passed the princess and he bodyguards and headed straight for my parent.

My father first stepped forward and asked "Keith is that true"

I was relieved that my parents still believed what I am is true" no I have been framed for whatever reason but I can't stay here any longer"

My dad who looked like he understood the situation reached into his pocket and brought out a pouch of gold coins and said "this will help you get by for a few days after that you are on your own" he tried to make it sound as menacing and disappointing as possible maybe because he read the room and realize the situation that the crowd gathered around us and the princess standing behind me ready to pick a fight.
So it turned around and began to walk into a corner while I hear the princess saying "someone stop him"

One of the guards tried to stop me but then I felt this heading my way so I grabbed one of the guard's swords before I knew it a slash aiming for my neck came down that I managed to block it but the blow felt so heavy my arm become numb then I looked up to see who   attached I tried to be surprised but today nothing could surprise me again.

All the became on high alert I had to calm them down by say" all of you stand down you are in front of his highness prince Loid von Stran.
