Overly Reincarnated

CHAPTER 1

In the middle of a cold war and the kingdom of Astral was been attacked by the sage kingdom and we are down 70 percent of our knight even after the knights in training joined we were still losing.

I am posted at the tower guarding the young King and I can hear the battle cries from up here, and the worst part is yet to come because King Loid von Stran the merchant of death joined the fight and immediately made a beeline for the castle tower turning the battle a one sided that almost immediately he made it to the corridor young king's room so it is me and a hand full of knight as the last line of defense.

We stood in front of the young king's room waiting for him to attack, looking at him he had a cold stare in his eye and I knew if I attacked I would be killed.

Out of a sudden my captain called out "attack" and immediately and all the doubt and fear pent up in me vanished and he also dint even hesitate, he lunged at us and killed half us in a blink of an eye, I was so taken back at that that I did not notice I was the last one left.

Knowing that if I go down the kingdom falls with me then without hesitation I attacked with full force and aimed for the side of the neck knowing he would do parry it I shifted my weight to the side in an attempt to land a finishing blow but I could see was a splatter of blood and my life flashing before my eyes I knew my time was over, hopefully the young king was able to escape.

"And for crimes of assault of my daughter and speaking ill of the kingdom of Tempest I am meant to sentence you to death but out of respect of your family I am willing to look the other way. Do you have anything to say for yourself" I sigh in both relief and annoyance because I know I am innocent and I could see the princess smirking from the corner of my eye and I know I have been set up.

Some of you might be wondering how things turned from a cold war to an interrogation in the king's throne room. I would have been confused too if this was the first time it happened to me but it wasn't it is not even the second or third time this has happened this is officially the seventh time I died and came back to life and found myself in this exact moment.

The first time I threw a fit when the king dropped that bomb shell of a news and was kicked out of the palace with my eyes filled with anger I went home but the guards did not let me through the gate due to my behavior in front of the king but through chance I stumble upon an old friend and merchant named Cane.

At first I followed him because he was somewhat an old friend and I was hunger and I had nowhere else to go, and before I knew it I was part of his crew and I had fun travelling the world and I had only a single country left for me to travel to then a war started a I was killed by bandits.

In my second life I didn't throw a fit like before I accept my punishment and run home  as soon as possible packed as much things  as possible before headed and waited for Cane to show up at his bar but  he  never came then I realized the time I wasted on  packing he had already left town so I decided  to take up another passion at being a  local herbalist and studied under a learned scholar in herbs and roots.

In the third life I decided to study under a professor and chemist because of my experience in my previous life and spent the rest of my life conducting experiments and each time I died the same way in a war.

But this time it is going to be different so after accepting my punishment from the king I decided to have some fun since I am definitely not coming back here again so instead of taking the stairs I would just  jump the window and instead of walking down the road home I could take the river.

So with that idea in mind I took a sharp turn and without knowing bumped into someone and stumbled back and later looked up only the person standing before me was none other as the man that killed me in my former life and started the war that killed me in my previous life King Loid von Stran.

I know the first chapter is kind of bad it is my first book but I will try harder next time.
