They were now sitting in a hotel rooftop. It was a chilly night with great weather. Air was filled with romance but he was there with a girl in sweatshirts, messy bun and who was half asleep. Otherwise he would have flirted and made it into a great hookup. She ordered soup and salad just as tasteless as she was. They ate in silence. He could not stop his thoughts while she was sitting with cold face. He could not think what she was finally thinking. Taking a sip of juice she finally interrupted silence.

A dark night decorated with billions of stars twinkling underneath he was sitting in a luxurious hotel decorated with mirrors and beige modern furniture. They were sitting on a two seat table.

Rose: "What are you planning to do?" With a straight face.

Mitch: "I do not know. Grandma will not listen. I cannot lose all the money." He looked at her thoroughly.

Rose: "You can bring any girl and say that you love her." She frowned her eye brows.

Mitch: "She is not a fool plus that girl will cause trouble anyway. I do not want kids and stuff."

Rose: "We can get married then!" With a straight face again as she leaned a little.

Mitch: "What?" He was shocked.

Rose: "I thought about it rationally it's a great idea. She will keep on asking me to marry someone anyway. You are a playboy you can date whoever you want plus you do not want kids and stuff etc. I also do not care what you do so you can go on with your life as well."

He was silent. Deep in his heart he longed for someone. She was not her ideal type.A part of him was saying no but there was something in her that was stopping him from saying no. He wanted to run in another way but he just could not.

Frustrated by his silence she spoke again "we will have some rules there will be no intimacy that will be a red line also both of us will not get involved in each others professional or personnel life and mind our own businesses. I think it's fair. I will say yes to grandma. You can decide for yourself. Alright then." She stood up and walked away. She looked as if it was a business deal or something. He could not say a single world. She was actually emotionless. Marring was not a big thing for her.

Taking the lift she went down without looking back even once. In a way she never actually noticed him nor she looked at him even once. She was just not interested and her behaviour and actions were evidently proving it. She booked a cab and went home. He stood up after a while and decided to go to a bar. He followed his routine like every night. Getting drunk, dancing on the floor, hooking up with random women and talking bullshit with his stupid acquaintances.

It was midnight when he reached home. He was drunk and looked messy. He always had a driver with him that waited for him while he stayed in bar. With his complete disability to even walk straight he was carried by his driver. From car to finally in the living room. It was a part of his job now. But there was a difference today. Grandma was there in the living area probably waiting for him. She asked the driver to put him down and leave with her usual cold composure. She looked at him lying on sofa completely drunk and finally asked him about his decision.

Mitch: "No ... yes .... I do not know." He looked defeated as he kept lying.

Grandma: "Tell me what is in your heart." She moved a little closer to him.

Mitch: "Its not a big deal for her but for me it is. Maybe I am just a playboy for her."

Grandma: "Why is it a big deal for you?"

Mitch: "Mom left me dad left me. I hate when people leave me. A part of me longs for love, affection. She is not the girl I imagine."

Grandma: "What kind of a girl did you imagine then?"
