Hey guys!
So all the previous chapters have been edited and some of the things I took out were:
1. Amora learning kickboxing.
2. Apollo and his sister. I wanted to take out her other friends from the picture too but I didn't want Amora to be shown as a loner so I let them be.
Nothing else is changed much. Also, the more significant differences in my stories compared to others begin now so please do vote, and comment to let me know how you're finding it so far.
I've also been busy with writing other stories, Indian Romances, so if you like those stories, please check them out too.
And I'm setting a target for the next chapter which is votes-15 and comments-10.
Amora's POV
I blinked my eyes open with a gasp as a memory of the past replayed in my dreams. I tried to catch my breath and turned to the empty spot on my side which strangely felt very warm, considering the dark and windy weather.
I managed to get out of bed and showered with some pain still screaming in my limbs. I didn't feel much of it yesterday and I planned to take some painkillers after breakfast. Carefully, I applied some medication to the cut on my stomach and left my room.
There was a huge pond in the backyard so I decided to go and feed the ducks to pass some time. As I slid open the sliding doors to the patio, I saw Dante and Kieran looking over some files. As soon as they heard me, they turned and Kieran immediately smiled at me.
"Good morning, Sweets. Do we have a mini morning bird in the house?" He chirped raising his brows.
"Morning to you two and hell no! Absolutely not! And don't even expect that from me!" I scrunched my face.
Kieran broke into laughter and asked, "Then how come you woke up so early?"
"I guess I'm still getting used to the time difference." I shrugged. I wasn't going to tell them about my nightmares.
Mom knew about some of them, and it worried her a lot. It was worse when she used to feel guilty for not being able to do anything about it.
I wasn't going to unnecessarily put them through the same, besides my nightmares were none of their business. Yet.
They both nodded at me, but I couldn't help but notice how they flipped the files over as soon as I almost looked in that direction.
"Anyways, breakfast will be up in some time, until then were you planning to go for a walk?" Kieran asked.
"Yeah and maybe even feed the ducks there. They look cute." I smiled at him.
He then put his arm out and gestured to me with an animatic expression as if saying the ducks are all mine. I almost laughed giving him a nod and jogged to the pond.
As I fed them, I thought about the everything that occurred up until now. During the attack, those men mentioned 'letting them have her for a while before they took her away'.
I wondered who those people were. Since no doubt, 'her' meant me, were they planning to take me away from here too?
She has Vincenzo's blood after all.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a Visconti.
They did seem to know Dad. I also remembered them mentioning to Mom how things would've turned out differently had she made different decisions in the past.
