Luckily the Riveras had a large mode of transportation being a solar powered vehicle. It was called a Crawl Shuttle. It was a vehicle that was developed during the time of war. It was so large that it could carry many passengers at a time. And that was a relief for the group, as they wouldn't have to worry about walking anymore miles in the Mexican landscape. The vehicle was all terrain too.
The family themselves reconnected with Miranda, as they met Miranda's new friends (minus Wednesday, due to them having known for a while) and were able to get along, due to them being fellow survivors.
Miranda was riding in the top level with Emmett, Wednesday, Lita, and Tater as they looked out on the horizon. They passed through the landscape day and night, but no luck. That wasn't long until they saw something in the distance. A giant lake up ahead, with what seems to be a town on it in the distance. The road they were traveling on led them all the way around and to the lake via the road on it.
The town itself was on man-made islands, Miranda told everyone that they were approaching the location. And also provided the name of it being called Monte Macabre. Once they stopped, Miranda, Rosa, Emmett, and Wednesday walked out of the Crawl Shuttle to investigate.
Once they did, they soon found themselves looking at the seemingly deserted buildings. They however, took a look at several parts of the town that are either sunken or partly. A few minutes later, they soon came across 3 people. 2 kids and an old lady.
The first boy has apricot skin, jet black hair, a gap in the middle of his front teeth. In addition, he appears shorter and thinner. He wears a short blue hoodie-like poncho around his neck, a white t-shirt, light brown shorts, white socks and black shoes:

The second boy was taller than the skinny boy, albeit chubby, has apricot skin, messy dark brown hair, and wears a red-orange shirt, white shorts, and dark brown shoes:

The old lady has grey hair, which she wears in two pigtail braids, each with a pink band near the bottom. Her attire consists of a white dress with blue birds and red flowers on it, glasses, white earrings, and pinkish-brown sandals. Additionally, she is seen with a cane in her hand:

Miranda: Hey, amigos.
Trio: Hi.
The trio were introduced as Victor, Valentino, and their grandma Chata. They were all glad to see Miranda and were introduced to Emmett and Tater. It felt nice, but the trio explained that their town has seen better days and it was on the verge of sinking.
Wednesday: Gather everyone you can.
Within an hour, the town began to sink. Everyone who lives in or around the town was taken to the crawl shuttle for safety. And just in time too as the vehicle made it safely back to shore. Everyone who lived in that town was sad to see it sink into the lake, but were glad to be safe. And other then that, Monte Macabre was no more...
