I wasn't sure what that was at all, but whatever it was... it made me feel uneasy. It was something I didn't want to run into again. Whatever it was, it seemed like it was trying to slow us down from finding what we were looking for. Was that the thing stopping us from getting to the afterlife?

"Hey, Yuri, you good?" Elias asked. He seemed somewhat concerned, but he still had his joyful demeanor, like usual.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just... whatever that was, it made me feel uneasy. I'm not sure what it was or what its intentions were, but I just don't think it's good."

"Yeah, that creature seems like it has bad intentions. Maybe it's stopping us from reaching something," Soph said, a little concern in her voice.

"Hey, guys, I got these computers running and pulled up all our hospital files. And while I was looking at them, I realized we all had our accidents on the same bridge..." Daniel said, as if he was trying to hint at something.

"Are you saying that might have something to do with what's happening to us?" I asked, slightly confused.

"Yes! I mean, it would make sense, right? Maybe we can find some information and then go to the bridge to see if we can find anything there."

"I guess we could, but what if that creature shows up again?" Soph asked, genuinely concerned.

"I'm sure we'll be fine. Plus, it would add some thrill to what's going on," Elias said joyfully.

It seemed like he was enjoying this, like it was some kind of game.

I couldn't help but feel a bit unsettled by Elias's carefree attitude. Sure, he was trying to keep things light, but this wasn't a game. We were trapped here, and that creature—or whatever it was—felt like a serious threat.

"Thrill? This isn't some kind of adventure, Elias," I said, my voice firmer than I intended. "We need to be careful. We don't know what we're dealing with."

Elias shrugged, still wearing that easy grin. "I get that, but sitting around being scared won't get us anywhere either. We need to take some risks if we want to figure this out."

Soph sighed, rubbing her temples as if trying to hold back her frustration. "Look, I don't like this either, but Elias has a point. We need to figure out what's going on, and the bridge might be the key. We just have to be smart about it."

Daniel, who had been quiet up until now, nodded thoughtfully. "If all our accidents happened on the same bridge, then there's got to be something connecting us. Maybe the bridge is where this all started, and maybe... it's where we need to go to end it."

His words hung in the air, heavy with implication. The idea of going back to the place where it all happened—the bridge where we all died—sent a shiver down my spine. But deep down, I knew Daniel was right. If we wanted answers, we had to face whatever was waiting for us there.

"Alright," I said, trying to sound braver than I felt. "Let's do it. But we stick together, no matter what. If that creature shows up again, we deal with it as a group."

The others nodded in agreement, the seriousness of the situation finally settling in. Even Elias seemed to lose some of his playfulness, though he still couldn't resist a smirk. "Don't worry, Yuri. We'll be fine. We've got each other's backs."

With that, we started making plans to leave the hospital and head to the bridge. As we moved through the corridors, gathering what little we could, the silence felt even more oppressive. The creature might have retreated for now, but I knew it wasn't gone. It was out there, watching, waiting.

And when we finally reached that bridge, I had a feeling we'd be facing it again.

As we stood at the hospital's exit, ready to leave, I couldn't help but glance back at the dark, empty halls one last time. Part of me wondered if we were making a mistake, if we were walking into a trap. But the need for answers outweighed the fear.

"Alright," Soph said, taking a deep breath as she pushed open the door. "Let's go."

With that, we stepped out into the unknown, the chill of the night air hitting us like a reminder of what we'd lost. But as much as I wanted to turn back, I knew we had to see this through.

Whatever awaited us at the bridge—whether it was answers, more danger, or something else entirely—we were ready to face it.

Together.
