Story Of My Life

I have died a million deaths.
Cried a million times.
Been broken into a thousand pieces
Crushed into a billion bits,
But today I rise; it's the story of my life.

Who would have thought that I was able to stand again?
Be able to walk straight and focus
Have a brighter future and change my own destiny
People are people
They judge you according to your current situation.
The story of my life.

I have died a million deaths.
Why? Because of people who tell me I am not worthy.
They say I am not good enough.
They say I don't deserve it.
Every mistake I make, they define me with that.
They point fingers at me and want me to do what they want.
If I do what other people want, will it still be my own life or someone else’s.
I don't need to be perfect, who said I should be perfect.
It is the story of my life; some things have died within me.

They say I should have done this, I should have done that
I should have, I should have
No one knows I've been broken before, they break me every time.
They know and realise they are wounding me
But they sit with wine in their hands and laugh
That's why they thought I will never rise again.
The story of my life.

I can't believe the shock on their faces when they see me stride
They thought they have killed me,
But what they didn't know is that they made me stronger.
I resurrected later after they had killed me with their words
I put the pieces back into their correct positions.
What they didn't know is that broken pieces can stand and be stronger than before.
The bits they crushed, I polished for better.
Now that's why I walk phenomenally cause I have risen.
It's the story of my life.
