The moon hung low on the horizon, its silver light casting long shadows over the jagged landscape as the trio made their way through the barren hills. The air was cold, crisp, and unnaturally still, as if the world itself was holding its breath. Each step they took seemed to echo louder than the last, the silence pressing down on them like a heavy blanket. For hours, they had walked in silence, each lost in their own thoughts, the weight of their journey pressing heavily on their minds.

Harry's mind was still reeling from his encounter with the Fallen God. The figure had been more than just a vision or an echo of the past. It had been real, tangible, and its presence had left an indelible mark on him. The seal that bound his power felt looser now, the fragile threads holding it together fraying with every passing moment. The god's words echoed in his mind, haunting him with their cryptic meaning.

"The price you pay will be greater than you can imagine."

What price? What sacrifice was he meant to make? Every step forward felt like a step closer to some inevitable fate, one he wasn't sure he was ready to face.

Victoria Aosa walked beside him, her sharp, calculating eyes scanning their surroundings for any signs of danger. The Demon Queen was a fierce, commanding presence, but Harry had noticed a shift in her demeanor ever since the encounter in the temple. She was more guarded, more watchful. As if she sensed the growing power within him and was wary of what it might mean.

Seraphina, the fallen angel, walked a few paces ahead, her wings tucked tightly against her back. The glow that usually surrounded her had dimmed, replaced by a subtle tension that radiated from her every movement. She had been quiet since they left the temple, her thoughts as inscrutable as the dark sky above them. But Harry could feel the weight of her concern, as if she too understood the gravity of what lay ahead.

"We're getting closer," Seraphina finally said, her voice breaking the heavy silence. Her eyes were fixed on the distant horizon, where the faint outline of a towering mountain range loomed. "The Fallen God's sanctuary is beyond those peaks. It won't be long now."

Harry's chest tightened at her words. Closer. They were getting closer, but closer to what? The god's sanctuary? His answers? Or his doom?

"What happens when we get there?" Harry asked, his voice quieter than he intended. He wasn't sure if he was ready to hear the answer, but he needed to know.

Victoria glanced at him, her expression unreadable. "We find the Fallen God and we do whatever it takes to get him to break the seal."

"And if he refuses?" Harry's gaze met hers, the unspoken weight of his question hanging between them. What if they had come all this way only to be turned away? What if the god demanded something Harry wasn't willing to give?

Seraphina spoke before Victoria could answer. "He won't refuse. He can't. The prophecy—your fate—demands it. The seal will be broken. The question is whether you're ready for what comes after."

Harry swallowed hard, the unease inside him growing. The more they talked about the seal breaking, the less sure he became that he actually wanted it to happen. He had felt the power inside him, the chaos it threatened to unleash. What if, once the seal was gone, he couldn't control it? What if he became the very thing the gods had feared?

But there was no turning back now. He had come too far. He couldn't stop, even if he wanted to.

They walked in silence for another hour, the landscape becoming more desolate with every step. The ground beneath their feet was dry and cracked, the air thick with dust. The towering mountains grew closer, their jagged peaks cutting into the dark sky like blades. As they approached the base of the mountains, Harry felt an oppressive weight settle over him, as if the very air had grown heavier. It was hard to breathe, each inhale a struggle against the invisible force pressing down on them.
