Hello there. First of all, how are you?

Welcome to 'Starbound', a review shop that I made in order to help new writers, or anyone looking to get a second opinion, really!

A few things about yours truly~
• I am Astraea, and you can also call me Rae.
• I'm an author and have been writing for about 5 years. The genre I mainly write is fantasy. If you're interested in plot twists, cycles of consequence, and all things magical, you can check out my book! Titled 'Oblivion, A Timeless Void'.
• I don't have much experience in giving reviews, so do forgive me if the first few are a little messy and/or not what you're expecting. I'm hoping to hone that skill with this book, however.
• I am by no means the best writer out there, and frankly speaking, English isn't my first language - however, I would say I'm fairly adept at the craft, and I am well-versed in writing.

The general manner in which I'll review the book will have set criteria, such as description/blurb, grammar, writing style/flow, hook, and how descriptive the writing is. I'll read as much as I deem fit to judge, but it will likely be anywhere between 5-10 chapters. I'll probably read the whole thing if I like it, though 😅.

All this, of course, takes time, so I kindly ask that you be patient. For the next month and a half, I will try to get as many requests done as possible, but afterwards I will be quite busy with university starting and may have to put this on hiatus until the semester is over.

As stated before, I am mostly a fan of fantasy! The only genres I won't be accepting are:
• Dark Romance.
• Most fanfiction. However, feel free to still request a review if you've written in this genre. If it's not something I'm okay reading, then I will politely decline your request.
• Poetry, since I am not a poet and thus will not be able to provide feedback.
Anything else is on the table!

As for payments, I don't ask for much. Simply a follow and a shoutout on your mb! If you can, add it to your reading list as well to get some exposure and tag anyone you think might be interested. Those two are optional, though.

My main goal is to help new writers see what they can improve and be an extra pair of eyes for experienced authors. The reviews will not be harsh, but if they do come off as that, I ask that you not take offense. It is not my intention to demean anyone or put them down - I only wish to provide constructive criticism.
