We'd landed to the U.S.A about an hour ago and had gotten into an other car of Thomas, this one less spacious and it had an animal on it's front, looking much more spectacular than most of those I'd see on the long roads of Miami where the sun had started to set leaving behind it's vibrant pink and orange colors that splashed on the clouds as we drove for what felt like forever yet I wasn't really complaining, Miami was beautiful.
All the lights, the tall buildings and people.
It was so different from what I was used to yet equally as beautiful in such a contrary way making me feel like I'd just jumped into a new dimension only an hour away from my universe.
I'd stopped stressing long ago and all tho I didn't necessarily enjoy the flight, I managed.
Thomas and I hadn't spoken since the incidence mostly because I was still too embarrassed but he made it much easier by accepting my silence even going as far as pretending I wasn't there.
We passed many houses and the longer we drove the taller and shinier the houses that looked like they costed a good fortune to who ever lived in got until we took a sharp turn and a tall building faced us directly, probably the tallest of them all.
The walls of the long house were replaced by windows and at it's roots a huge open space, which welcomed in equally as pretty cars as the one Thomas drove, people getting in and out threw the main gates of that intimidatingly big construction.
Oddly enough the amazement felt one sided as Thomas parked the car in front of the main doors like many others had, exiting the vehicle with that same stoick look on his face.
Once out the car, -from which I had yet to get out, Thomas was being greeted by a younger looking man, who then after having exchanged a few words took the car keys from him and got onto the drivers seat, now sitting where Thomas was a second ago.
I don't know what took me so long to react but its when he inserted the key into the keyhole making the car roar back to life that I snapped from my thoughts and reached to my seatbelt in attempt of quickly getting out before he could drive away Lord knows where with me still as the passenger.
My sudden moves made him look my way and like a little girl would, he led out a high pitched shirk sound clutching his chest as if to make sure his heart hadn't jumped out making me flinch, then grow extremely uncomfortable as I pulled on my sleeves to hide what might've scared him and turn my face away to hide the discomfort in my eyes as I quietly got up.
Thomas stood tall with his phone on his ear contrary to what I thought, he looked at my way when I opened the car door reaching his hand out for me and I happily took the invitation with a soft smile on my face, straightening out my dress while he reached for my bag leading us towards the house.
I looked over my shoulder to where the car was still parked and sent an apologetic smile as I'd scared him not too sure if he'd seen me as the windows were tinted up but either ways I hoped that he'd get over it and with that the car drove away.
'' Who was that? '' I asked looking at Thomas who was busy talking to his cellular before giving me a quick response. ''Benjamin, The valet. ''
I kept my eyes on him, making sure to remember the guy's- Benjamin's name for the next time I'd run paths with him, hoping to give him a better impression of me while still waiting for some sort of explanation to what a valet was, but I clearly wasn't much on his mind as Thomas seemed to be oblivious to me and I once again realised a little late that he'd already dismissed now typing something on his phone, and so I led out an disappointed exhale, one he was ignorant to.
