The plane had just taken off, and as we settled into our seats, I glanced around the cabin, a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbling inside me. My seat was next to a young couple. The woman sat beside me, her partner next to the window, gazing out at the fading lights of Paris. The hum of the plane and the rhythmic motion were oddly comforting, a backdrop to the whirlwind of emotions I felt.

"Hi," the woman said, breaking the silence. "Where are you headed?"

I smiled, feeling a rush of anticipation as I replied, "I'm flying to Australia, to Byron Bay. I won a couple of days with my celebrity crush. He lives there, so I'm going to visit him."

Her eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That's incredible!"

I nodded, a grin spreading across my face. "Yes, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I'm a huge fan, and it's been my dream for years. And you? Where are you headed?"

She brightened up, her excitement palpable. "We're going to Sydney. We just got engaged, and this is our honeymoon. We're so excited!"

"That's wonderful! Congratulations!" I said warmly. "You must be thrilled."

Her boyfriend turned towards us, joining in the conversation. "Thank you! We've been planning this for months. It's our first big trip together as a married couple."

As the flight continued, we chatted about our respective journeys. I shared with them how my love for Zac Efron had started when I was a child. "I've been a fan since I first saw him in High School Musical when I was eight. His performances have always been a huge source of inspiration for me. His movies helped me through tough times, and now, I'm finally going to meet him."

The couple listened with genuine interest, and the woman asked more about my experiences with Zac's films. I told them how watching him in movies like New Year's Eve had made me feel like anything was possible, even during challenging moments in my life. Their engagement story and the excitement of their honeymoon seemed to blend seamlessly with my own feelings of anticipation.

Eventually, it was time to sleep. The lights dimmed, and the cabin quieted down. I settled into my seat, trying to rest, though my mind raced with anticipation.

We landed in Dubai at 6:30 AM for our first layover. The airport was bustling with activity, and we had a few hours to kill before our next flight. I didn't check my messages right away, focusing instead on stretching my legs and getting a bite to eat.

After the layover, we boarded our flight to Sydney. The cabin crew served meals, and the conversation with the couple continued, filled with stories and laughter. As the plane began its ascent into the sky, I settled into my seat, glancing at the young couple next to me who had already begun chatting excitedly about their honeymoon. I felt a mix of nerves and anticipation. This was a big trip, and I wanted to stay connected as much as possible.

Reaching for the call button above my head, I waited for the flight attendant to arrive. When she approached, I gave her a polite smile. "Excuse me," I said, "do you happen to have Wi-Fi on this flight?"

She nodded with a warm smile. "Yes, we do. It's available for the entire duration of the flight. Let me get you the details."

She handed me a small card with the Wi-Fi network name and password. I thanked her and quickly pulled out my phone. As I connected to the network, my heart raced with excitement. I was eager to check my messages and share the latest updates with Carmen and my family.

With the Wi-Fi successfully connected, I opened Instagram to see if there were any new messages. To my delight, I found a notification from Zac Efron himself. The message read: "Hey Nora, I hope you're doing well with this whole trip. I just wanted to let you know that I'll personally pick you up at Ballina Airport. We can chat on the way to my house. Looking forward to meeting you soon!"

I could hardly contain my excitement. I immediately began typing a reply, expressing my gratitude and enthusiasm. After sending the message, I quickly texted Carmen and my family to update them on Zac's kind message and reassure them about the trip.

With everything sent, I felt a rush of exhilaration as the plane continued its journey. The adventure was just beginning, and I couldn't wait for what lay ahead.

The rest of the flight passed in a blur of anticipation. I ate, chatted with the young couple, and tried to relax as best as I could.

As the plane landed in Sydney and we prepared to part ways, I turned to the young couple sitting beside me. They were busy gathering their belongings, excitement evident in their faces as they prepared for their honeymoon.

I smiled at them and said, "It was great meeting you both. I realized I didn't catch your names earlier."

The woman looked up and smiled warmly. "I'm Emily, and this is Jake."

"It's been such a pleasure talking with you, Emily, and Jake. I'd love to stay in touch if you're up for it. Could we exchange numbers?"

Jake nodded enthusiastically. "Of course! It'd be great to keep in touch. We'll be in Sydney for a couple of weeks, so let's definitely stay connected."

Emily quickly took out her phone, and we exchanged numbers. "We'd love to hear how your time with Zac goes. Good luck with everything, and safe travels!"

"Thank you so much," I said, feeling a little bittersweet as the time came to say goodbye. "I hope you both have an amazing honeymoon. I'll definitely keep you updated on my adventure!"

With one last smile and wave, we parted ways. I watched them head towards the departure gate, feeling a pang of regret that our time together was so brief but also a surge of excitement for what lay ahead in Ballina.

As I headed toward my own gate for the final flight, I took a deep breath and mentally prepared myself for the next leg of the journey. The final stretch was just around the corner.

At 10:50 AM, I boarded the last flight to Ballina. The anticipation was almost overwhelming as the plane took off. I found myself staring out the window, imagining what awaited me.

As we descended into Ballina, my heart raced with a mix of nervousness and excitement. The moment had finally arrived. I was about to meet Zac Efron, the man who had been a source of inspiration for so long.

The plane touched down, and I took a deep breath, feeling a wave of exhilaration wash over me. This was it. My dream was about to come true.
