After a refreshing shower, I slip into a white floral dress and let my hair fall naturally in soft waves. I take a deep breath, admiring the elegance of my look before heading to the dining room. As I walk in, Zac is already waiting at the table. He stands up as I approach, pulling out my chair with a warm smile.
"Wow, you look stunning," Zac says, his eyes twinkling with genuine admiration.
"Thank you," I reply, feeling a bit shy under his gaze. "You look quite dashing yourself."
As I sat down, Zac took his seat, and we started talking. The conversation flows effortlessly, as if we've known each other for years.
"So," Zac asks, leaning forward slightly, "what have you been up to lately? How's life treating you?"
I smile, appreciating his genuine curiosity. "Well, I've been quite busy preparing for this trip. It's been a whirlwind, but a good one. My family has been very supportive, even though they're a bit worried about me traveling so far alone."
Zac nods, looking thoughtful. "That sounds like a lot. How have you been coping with everything? It must be quite a change from your everyday life."
I shrug lightly, feeling comfortable talking with him. "It has been a big change, but it's all been so exciting. I've always dreamed of this, and now it's actually happening. My family and friends have been my rock, helping me stay grounded."
"That's great to hear," Zac says with a reassuring smile. "I'm sure they're very proud of you. What about your sisters? I remember you mentioning them."
"Yes," I say, feeling a sense of pride. "One is in her sixth year of medical school, another just graduated from high school, and the youngest is in eighth grade. They've all been amazing, cheering me on every step of the way."
"Wow, that's quite a supportive family," Zac says, clearly impressed. "And what about you? How do you unwind from all the hustle and bustle?"
"I like to write," I explain. "I keep a dream book where I jot down my thoughts and aspirations. It helps me stay focused and positive."
"That's wonderful," Zac says. "Writing can be such a therapeutic outlet. It's great that you have that."
As we finish our lunch, Zac tells me about the plans he has for us. "I've arranged a tour of the town for us today. I thought it would be a fantastic way for you to see the sights and get a feel for Byron Bay. And tonight, we're going to a special dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate our journey together."
"That sounds amazing," I say, my excitement growing. "What should I wear for our outing?"
Zac chuckles and says, "I thought you'd never ask. You look perfect just as you are, but feel free to dress up for dinner tonight. I want you to feel as special as you are."
We finish our lunch, and Zac puts on his sunglasses and cap. As we head outside, I playfully tease him. "You know, even if you wore an entirely different outfit, I'd still recognize you anywhere."
Zac laughs. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. I'd hate to go incognito and be mistaken for someone else."
We walk around town, enjoying each other's company. The day is filled with laughter and conversation. By 5 PM, we returned to Zac's house.
"Our reservation at the restaurant is at 7:30 PM," Zac says. "I'll be back to pick you up at 7. Take your time getting ready."
I headed to my room, eager to prepare for the evening. I take another warm shower, slip into the dress Carmen and I picked out, and pair it with white high heels. I choose to wave my hair and keep my makeup light and gentle.
At precisely 7 PM, I heard a knock on my door. I open it to find Zac in a stunning navy-blue suit with a white shirt underneath. He looks even more handsome than before.
"You look incredible," Zac says, his eyes wide with admiration.
"Thank you," I reply, feeling a bit bashful. "You're quite the gentleman tonight."
Zac offers his arm, and we head outside to find a limo truck waiting for us. He opens the door for me, and I step inside, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation.
The limo ride to the restaurant is filled with pleasant conversation. When we arrive, I'm amazed to find that Zac has booked the entire restaurant just for us. It's a beautiful French restaurant near the beach, and the ambiance is perfect.
As we enjoy our meal, I share some anecdotes from my past, including how I used to watch him in Hairspray and get my sisters involved in the dance routines even though they don't like dancing.
"I remember when Hairspray first came out," I say with a nostalgic smile. "I was absolutely obsessed with the movie. Every weekend, I'd drag my sisters into the living room, and we'd have these impromptu dance sessions. I'd make them do all the choreography from the movie."
Zac laughs, clearly entertained by the story. "That sounds like so much fun! Were your sisters as into it as you were?"
"Not exactly," I chuckled. "They were more like reluctant participants. My youngest sister would groan and complain, but I could always count on her to join in after a bit of persuading. The older ones were more supportive, but they were never as enthusiastic as I was."
Zac shakes his head, still laughing. "That's hilarious. I can just picture the scene. What about your sisters? How do they feel about your trip and meeting me?"
"They're thrilled," I reply. "They've been very supportive and excited for me. My youngest sister still talks about how she had to dance in the living room for hours on end. It's one of those funny family memories we'll all look back on and laugh about."
"That's fantastic," Zac says, clearly enjoying the personal connection. "I remember some funny moments from the set of Hairspray too. There was this one time when John Travolta and I had to rehearse a dance scene over and over. He kept messing up his lines, and we ended up laughing so hard that we had to take a break. It was one of those moments that made filming so much more enjoyable."
I laugh, picturing the scene. "That sounds like a blast. It's great to hear that even big stars have those funny, human moments. It makes everything feel so much more real."
Zac nods, his eyes warm and sincere. "Absolutely. Those moments are what make the whole experience memorable. And hearing your stories about your sisters makes me realize how important family is. It's clear you have a lot of love and support from them."
I smiled, touched by his words. "Yes, I do. They've been my biggest supporters and have helped me keep my dreams alive."
We continue to share stories and laughter, the conversation flowing as effortlessly as the evening itself. It's clear that the connection between us goes beyond the initial excitement of meeting a celebrity; it's genuine and heartfelt, making the evening even more special.
By the end of the night, we're back in the limo, heading home. I'm feeling a bit tired, and as my head rests on Zac's shoulder, I whisper, "I love you," before falling asleep. When we arrive at his house, Zac carefully carries me bridal style to my room, kisses me on the forehead, and whispers, "Goodnight and sweet dreams."
I drift off to sleep, feeling incredibly lucky and cherished.
