Immediately after the movie, we headed for my house since Bishola offered to drop me. I really think it was a good idea that she forced me to watch the movie. I must say, hats off to Funke Akindele for that incredible movie.
tapping her hands on the wheel to the beat Bishola spoke "I love this song!"
I replied smiling "Me too! It's been ages since I've heard it."
"Remember when we used to listen to this all the time in law school?" She asked as she sang along.
"How could I forget? We'd blast it in the hostel and get in trouble with the neighbouring rooms." I answered.
Bishola asked chuckling "Good times. What's your favorite memory from law school?"
"I'll never forget the time you, Husnah and I pulled an all-nighter to study for our bar exams. We were both so exhausted that we started making up silly songs to help us remember the cases LOL. At one point, Husnah started singing 'Marbury v. Madison' to the tune of 'African queen' by Tuface Idibia and I just lost it. I was laughing so hard that I had to hold onto the desk to keep me from falling over.
Just then, our professor walked into the library and caught us in the middle of our ridiculous song-and-dance routine. We were mortified, but he just chuckled and said, 'Well, I guess that's one way to make constitutional law memorable!'"Ohhh yesssss I've remembered, I still laugh about that to this day. It was definitely a memorable moment from law school Aswr" Bishola said laughing
"How about your unforgettable one?" I asked Bishola.
"I remember when Husnah and I were studying in the library, and we were both getting really frustrated with the material. We decided to take a break and have a mock trial, using a ridiculous case to practice our advocacy skills.
Husnah was the plaintiff, and I was the defendant. We both got up in front of the empty chairs in the library and started arguing our cases. Husnah was being super dramatic, waving her arms and shouting 'Your Honor!' while I was trying to keep a straight face.
At one point, Husnah tripped over her own feet and fell onto the floor, and I just lost it. I started laughing so hard that I had to hold onto the table to keep from falling over.
Husnah got up, dusting herself off, and said 'That was intentional, Your Honor! I was demonstrating the defendant's negligence!' We both ended up in hysterics, and we had to leave the library because we were being too loud.
It was such a silly moment, but it helped us relax and remember the material better. We still laugh about it to this day!""Omggggg this is soo funny! i need to call her." I said as I opened my back and brought out my phone. I put the phone on speaker.
"Hey Husnah, Bishola just told me about your epic fall in the library trying to defend the defendant's negligence as you said!" I explained trying hard not to laugh with Bishola laughing beside me while driving.
"Oh, shut up! I'm still embarrassed about that. Bishola you're a snitch.".
I bursted out laughing "I can just imagine you waving your arms and shouting 'Your Honor!' and then... thud!"
"Okay, okay, I get it. I'm a clumsy lawyer."
"No, no, you're a dramatic lawyer! I mean, who trips over their own feet on purpose to make a point?"
"Hey, it was a clever move! I was demonstrating the defendant's negligence!"
Trying to suppress her laughter, Bishola said "Sure you were, Husnah. Sure you were."
"Oh, stop it Shola. You're just jealous because you couldn't come up with something that creative."
"Oh, I don't know about that. I think i did a great job of not laughing since you still believe that was creative of you." Bishola said as she bursted with laughter again
"Yeah, yeah, you're a regular comedic genius."
"Anyway, I just wanted to call and roast you a little bit." I said trying to end the call.
"Well, mission accomplished. Thanks for the laughs!" She laughed as well.
"Anytime, Husnah. Anytime."
"Wait sef... watoh kun fita ba ni koh?
"No... yan mata kawae munje yawo neh"
"Ok then. Bye Islaha, Bye Bishola. I love you my two mumus."
We replied and I ended the call. You know I'm glad that we have stayed close all these years. I said.
She replied with "I know, right."
We sat in comfortable silence for a moment enjoying the music.

"Heyyy, mutanen gida na dawo" I shouted as soon I entered the sitting room.
"Yauwa it's good that you're back now. Dama yanzu zan qiraki." My mom said.
I dropped my bag on the couch before saying "why?
"It's a good news! Islam just called that he's gotten the job he interviewed for recently." Mommy said smiling at me.
"Oh, congratulations, Mom! That's amazing!" I said excitedly hugging her.
"Yes, we're all very proud of him. And there's more - they're having an office dinner tonight to welcome the new employees and their families."
"That sounds fun mom!"
"It's at 6 pm. And all the families are invited, so you need to get ready quickly."
"Okay, I'll go shower and get dressed right away!" I said jumping up excitedly.
"Good girl. And don't forget to wear something nice, it's a formal event."
"Okay, Mom, I'll try to impress."
"I know you will. Now hurry up, we don't want to be late!"
rushing out of the room "Okay, okay! I'm going!"
