LOUIE

The end of the school year was rapidly approaching, and the pressure of final exams was mounting. To alleviate some of the stress, Sandra invited me to her house for a study session. I eagerly accepted—our friendship had become a welcome break from my otherwise solitary campus life.

Sandra's mansion was impressive. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in an aura of opulence and elegance. The sprawling gardens and grand foyer made my modest apartment seem even smaller by comparison. As Sandra guided me through the house, I marveled at the tasteful decor and spacious rooms.

We settled into a cozy study room, furnished with plush armchairs and a massive wooden desk. The walls were lined with bookshelves filled with everything from academic texts to classic literature. It was the perfect environment for focusing on our studies, and Sandra's warm hospitality made it easy to relax.

"Okay, Louie," Sandra said as we began. "Let's dive into this. We have a lot to cover, and I want to make sure we're both ready for these exams."

The study session was productive. Sandra's cheerful demeanor and sharp intellect turned studying from a chore into an engaging discussion. We alternated between intense study and casual conversation, catching up on campus news and discussing our summer plans.

After a few hours, I needed a break. I asked Sandra where the bathroom was, but in the flurry of our study session, I must have misunderstood her directions. I wandered down a hallway, hoping to find it on my own.

I opened the door to the first room I saw and was met with a surprising sight: Ian, standing in the middle of the room, completely naked.

His fair skin, slightly flushed, was illuminated by the soft light filtering through the room. The contours of his physique were defined yet not overly muscular, reflecting a natural athleticism. His expression quickly shifted from shock to a sheepish smile, and he swiftly wrapped a towel around himself.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I blurted out, my face burning with embarrassment. "I didn't mean to—"

Ian's eyes widened before he managed a sheepish smile. "It's okay. I should have locked the door."

The towel, though hastily grabbed, was sufficient to cover his lower half, allowing him to regain a semblance of modesty. Despite the initial shock, his demeanor was composed and unflustered, adding a layer of grace to an otherwise awkward moment.

I mumbled another apology and quickly retreated from the room, my mind racing. The encounter had been incredibly awkward, but Ian's calm reaction helped diffuse some of my embarrassment.

I returned to the study room, trying to act normal despite my flushed cheeks. Sandra was engrossed in her notes and didn't seem to notice my flustered state. I focused on my textbooks, determined to put the incident out of my mind.

After a while, Ian joined us in the study room, now dressed casually. He greeted Sandra with a friendly hug and then turned to me with a relaxed smile.

"Hey, how are you guys doing?"

I faked a smile, still feeling a bit self-conscious but relieved that the awkwardness seemed to be behind us.

"Doing just fine kuya. By the way, this is Louie, my best friend. Louie, this is Kuya Ian, my brother," Sandra introduced.

"Hi, nice to meet you again lost boy" Ian said, extending his hand for a shake, which I reluctantly accepted out of embarrassment from earlier incident.

He seemed to have forgotten it, but I certainly had not. How could I?

As the evening wore on, Sandra's home felt more comfortable, and the study session turned into a pleasant experience rather than a stressful endeavor. I was still surprised to learn that Ian and Sandra were siblings. And when I mentioned Ian and I's encounter during my first day at school to Sandra, she was not surprised anymore knowing her brother being friendly to everyone.

When it was time to leave, Sandra walked me to the door. "Thanks for coming over, Louie. I hope the study session helped."

"It definitely did," I said, feeling genuinely grateful. "And thank you for the hospitality."

Sandra offered for, the last time, to have me drove home by their driver but for the nth time I gently declined since their mansion is not that far from where I am staying. Plus I find walking therapeutic.

As I left the mansion, I reflected on the day's events. The unexpected encounter with Ian had been embarrassing, but it had also given me a new perspective on him. Despite the awkward moment, I found myself thinking about Ian's easy smile and how he had handled the situation with such grace.

Back in my apartment, I prepared for bed, still processing the day's events. As I lay in bed, the image of Ian naked lingered in my mind, leaving me unsettled and confused about what I was feeling.

I tried to shake my thoughts, but a sense of heat persisted. Unsure of how to handle the discomfort, I went to the bathroom and tried to find some relief.

Oh God, I'm fucked.
