⚠️TW⚠️ The Great Hall was buzzing with anticipation as students gathered for the Hallowe'en feast. The air was thick with excitement as the Goblet of Fire was set to choose the champions for the Triwizard Tournament. As the feast progressed, all eyes were on the Goblet, its flames dancing in the dim light of the Hall.
Finally, the moment arrived. The flames of the Goblet turned a bright red, and a piece of parchment was ejected into the air. Dumbledore caught it and read aloud, "The champion for Durmstrang... Viktor Krum!"
The Hall erupted into applause, especially from the Durmstrang students, as Viktor Krum, the famous Seeker for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team, stood up and made his way to the front of the Hall.
The Goblet flared again, and another name shot out. "The champion for Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour!"
A stunning girl with silvery-blonde hair gracefully rose from the Beauxbatons table. Her beauty captivated the room as she moved to join Viktor.
Finally, the Goblet spewed out a third name. "The champion for Hogwarts... Cedric Diggory!"
The Hufflepuff table erupted in cheers as Cedric, tall and handsome, stood up with a modest smile and joined the other champions at the front.
Just as everyone thought the selections were complete, the Goblet flared one last time, ejecting a final name. Dumbledore caught it, his eyes widening in surprise as he read aloud, "Harry Potter!"
A stunned silence fell over the Hall, quickly followed by a wave of murmurs. Harry, sitting at the Gryffindor table, looked as shocked as everyone else. Whispers and gasps of disbelief filled the room how could Harry's name have been entered when he was underage?
The mood in the Great Hall shifted as everyone processed what had just happened. Amid the whispers and uncertainty, Blaise Zabini leaned over to Aurora and grinned, "Tonight's party is going to be awesome with the Durmstrang crowd."
Later that night, Aurora prepared for the party in the Slytherin common room. She chose a sleek vampire costume, complete with fangs and a long black cloak that accentuated her sharp features. Pansy opted for an apocalyptic warrior outfit, Daphne dressed as a daring pirate, and Millicent donned a fairy costume, her wings shimmering with a soft glow. Draco, ever the showman, went as a clown. Theo matched Aurora's theme, also dressed as a vampire, while Blaise turned himself into a skeleton, his face painted to perfection.
When they finally arrived at the party, the room was alive with music and laughter. Students from Hogwarts and Durmstrang mingled together, the atmosphere charged with the excitement of the night's earlier events.
Aurora was making her way through the crowd when a tall Durmstrang student approached her, a confident smirk on his face. "I've seen vampires before," he said in a thick Eastern European accent, his eyes raking over her. "But none of them looked as hot as you."
Aurora raised an eyebrow, unimpressed but curious. "Is that so?" she replied coolly.
He grinned, revealing a set of slightly crooked teeth. "Name's Dimitri Ivanov. And you?"
"Aurora Black," she answered, her tone still distant.
"Care to dance, Aurora?" Dimitri asked, extending a hand.
She glanced at his outstretched hand but shook her head. "No, thanks."
Unfazed by the rejection, Dimitri simply nodded and moved closer as Aurora noticed a gathering forming around one of the couches. Curious, she headed in that direction, Dimitri trailing after her.
When she reached the group, she saw that her friends were already there, along with a few other Slytherins and Durmstrang students. Blaise grinned as he saw her approach and suggested, "Let's play a Muggle game called spin the bottle."
Aurora rolled her eyes, but the idea seemed to catch on quickly with the others. Blaise explained the rules, and the bottle was set in motion. The first spin landed on Aurora, much to everyone's delight. She reluctantly took her turn, giving the bottle a quick spin. It twirled around the circle before finally coming to a stop, pointing directly at Dimitri.
Aurora groaned inwardly as the group erupted in cheers, urging her to kiss him. She glanced at Theo, who was sitting across from her, and noticed the dark look on his face. Smirking to herself, she stood up, sauntered over to Dimitri, and without hesitation, sat on his lap. Then, to everyone's surprise, she kissed him passionately.
The cheers grew louder as Aurora pulled away, a smug smile playing on her lips. But when she looked back at Theo, she saw that he was even more pissed off than before.
To Theo's luck, he was picked next, and the bottle spun once more. It landed on Tracey Davis, a Slytherin girl that Aurora and her friends couldn't stand. Aurora felt a surge of anger as Theo leaned in to kiss Tracey, their kiss lingering far longer than necessary. The longer it went on, the more Aurora's jealousy flared, her eyes burning with rage.
As the game continued, shots of Firewhisky were passed around, and the atmosphere became more charged. Finally, unable to stand it any longer, Aurora stood up, grabbed Dimitri by the hand, and dragged him out of the room and up to her dormitory.
Once inside, things quickly escalated. Dimitri was aggressive, his hands roaming over her body as he tried to take control. But when he pushed too far, Aurora's temper snapped. Without thinking, she shoved him away and, without even needing her wand, conjured a burst of fire that nearly scorched him.
Dimitri stumbled back, his eyes wide with shock. "You're crazy!" he shouted, scrambling to get away from her.
"Get out!" Aurora ordered, her voice cold and commanding.
Dimitri didn't need to be told twice. He bolted from the room, leaving Aurora seething in anger.
Back at the party, Dimitri rejoined the group, his face pale and his hair slightly singed. "Your friend is a crazy bitch," he muttered to no one in particular.
Theo, who had been quietly brooding in the corner, immediately shot to his feet and grabbed Dimitri by the collar. "What did you just call her?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
Dimitri quickly realized his mistake and stammered out an apology, his bravado from earlier completely gone. Theo let him go with a shove, and Dimitri hurried away, not wanting to provoke the wrath of the Slytherins any further.
Aurora didn't return to the party that night. Instead, she stayed in her room, the adrenaline from the confrontation with Dimitri still coursing through her veins. She knew that things had escalated too quickly, but she didn't regret a thing.
