Those following days were filled with constant fights between Simon and I. Luckily, Aurora was coming over to spend the month for her birthday.

As she stepped out of her car, I ran to hug her, I could tell she was shocked by my change in appearance. Instead of my heavy load of makeup, I started to go natural. I put her bags in my bedroom and tell her excited I am for her birthday. I rant about the plans I made when I receive a text from Simon.

"Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you but my boyfriend is coming over to pick up something," I told her.

She just nodded. The doorbell rings and I answered and walked upstairs. I search through my closet to find a suit. I fold it and put it in a plastic bag.

I return downstairs and hand Simon the bag.

"Babe, this is my best friend Aurora, and Aurora, this is my boyfriend" I introduce them to each other.

"Nice to meet you" Aurora lends her hand out for him to shake.

I could tell they knew each other but I didn't want to assume things.

After Simon left, Aurora and I continued our conversation while munching on snacks. It was great catching up with her, she told me about her job, her co-workers and how her parents treat different at work from home.

We both dressed for bed and hopped in. I could tell Aurora had something on her mind but I didn't question it because I had something on my mind too, someone I missed, Miles Maddox.
