From then on, Miles and I started to date. He treated me like I was the only girl in the world. I was currently buying a slice cake for Aurora since it was her birthday.
Miles and I got seated at a booth and waited for the next two to arrive. Aurora eventually arrived and I introduced her to Miles. She looks left and right for someone and I know exactly who,
"He hasn't arrived yet," I said.
She seemed surprised that I knew but didn't deny it.
Soon enough, Simon showed up and I introduced him to Miles. He didn't have a litre of jealousy in that face. He didn't love me at all.
We all sat down and talked for a while. We sang happy birthday with the slice of cake I bought Aurora. I noticed that Simon was smiling, like genuinely. We proceeded to order alcohol for Aurora's first shot. She gulped it down and began coughing. We laughed at her and made a toast.
It was nice to see Aurora happy, especially with Simon. I knew they were going to be a couple and I didn't mind, as long as she was happy and he treated her right.
