After finally leaving Havencrest PD, Rose began her journey to a better life. She took the highway until she couldn't stay awake any longer. Pulling into a small motel parking lot, she parked and climbed out of her car. Going through the door to the office, Rose was greeted by an interesting man. He was about 4ft 8in with bright green hair, spiked into a Mohawk. He wore baggy clothes and had a 90s grunge look to his outfit, which seemed odd considering he was well over his 40s.
"Sup miss lady? Need a bed to crash?" The green haired man asked.
"Um... yes please," Rose replied hesitantly. "How much is a room for the night?"
"Single bed? Hmm let's see..." he said while looking at his room log. "$83.75 after taxes, the longer you stay, the cheaper the rates. Will it be cash or card?"
"Cash." Rose sighed handing over $90 cash.
Handing the change back to Rose, the man picked up a funky looking keychain that had a single key attached at the end. "Room 32, go out this door, head to the left and it's on the end. Enjoy your stay miss lady!"
Rose walked out of the office and climbed back in her car, pulling her car to the last parking spot in front of room 32. "Well this is it," Rose said to herself while climbing out of her car with her bag of clothes. After unlocking the door and turning the lights on Rose was surprised to see a recently renovated room, here's to new beginnings she thought.
The next day, Rose woke up and finally looked at the pamphlets laid out on the small side table. "Whispering Pines," she mumbled to herself. Flipping through until she found a pamphlet for some local restaurants, she decided it was time to get some food. She picked a cute little restaurant, Shine Way Tavern.
