Chapter 28 - First Day At Work

I think I reached quite early at the office building. As I looked at my watch, itwas only 7.45am and my reporting time is at 8am. So I slowly made my wayup to the level where I am supposed to report on my first day of work. Thewhole level was so quiet that I could hear my own breathing. But soon later asuper well dressed lady walked over to my direction and greeted me "Hellothere! Good morning! My name is Yoon Soo. Are you Ms Min Yongmin?" Iquickly stood up and smiled "Yes, I am! I am Min Yongmin. Good morning toyou too!"

Ms Yoon Soo: "That's great! Follow me this way, please."

I quickly nodded my head followed Ms Yoon Soo to the office. After which, she showed me to my desk and settled me down.

Ms Yoon Soo: "Please make yourself comfortable and let me know it there isany stationary that you would need. You can keep your bag and yourpersonal belongings in this drawer here underneath the desk. The key to thedrawer is right here so please keep it safe with you. Do wait for awhile andyour reporting officer will be right here with you shortly."

Me: "Sure thing! Thank you so much Ms Yoon Soo!" I thanked her and then Ilooked at my watch. It's almost 8am already! I guess the reporting officer willbe here in any minute.

Very soon, I could hear footsteps. I looked up and saw a fine gentleman walking towards my direction. "Hi! Good morning~ I guess you are Ms Min Yongmin, right?" The fine gentleman asked.

Me: "Yes, sir! I am Min Yongmin. Good morning to you." I smiled.

The fine gentleman: "Oh! Great! Nice to meet you. My name is Kim Bae Yong. Come this way with me." He smiled back to me.

So I followed Mr Kim to his room and he instructed me to sit down at the chair right in front of his desk.

Mr Kim: "Please don't be so tensed up. This is just your first day of work. Relax and we will guide you along the way. I heard that you have quite a passion and interest in becoming a Recruitment Officer. What makes you have so much passion and interest in this role?"

Me: "I always have a strong passion in helping people to look for a job. I know that looking for a job is not easy. So I really want to help them, especially people like me who just graduated from universities or people who wants to go back to the workforce."

Mr Kim: "That's great to hear from you! We really need more people who have your mentality to join our industry so that we can help more people to look for jobs."So for the rest of the day, I was being oriented by Mr Kim to the facilities that the company has and also introduced me to the colleagues from the same level. It wasn't that tiring today as it was my first day at work. But during the end of the day, I left the office with a smile on my face knowing that I would be able to realize my dream in helping people to look for jobs.
