Chapter 29 - The Unexpected

Many months had passed and I have passed my 6 months probation and has now become their permanent staff. I am really feeling so happy about it. So it was just another typical day at work but today I would need to do a little overtime as in the morning till afternoon I will be attending meetings with my colleagues. So in order to do some of my work, I have decided to do overtime this evening. The air conditioning auto switched off when it reaches 6pm do I have to turn on my mini desk fan while working or else I would feel so stuffy.

My colleagues had all left the office so the whole level was just me alone. I clicked on the Spotify icon on my desktop and started playing BTS's songs so that the whole office will not be so quiet. I managed to do some of my work and set myself to go at 9pm the latest. Luckily, the company wasn't too far from my house so I could reach home in about 45 minutes time. I alighted from the bus and walked back to my house.

As I was about to unlock my house door, suddenly a hand reached behind me and covered my mouth with a cloth and seconds later I felt unconscious, not knowing what happened thereafter. The moment when I was awake, I found myself being tied up and with my mouth being masking taped. My hands and legs were tied up with cables ties and my surrounding is quite dark and I couldn't figure out where I was. I was struggling to break free from these cable ties but failed. I wanted to cry out loud but I couldn't do it.

Suddenly there were footsteps coming towards me and all the lights have been switched on. Trying to open my eyes to see who the hell was that but it was too bright. I took awhile to fully open my eyes just to see a familiar face sitting right in front of me. I had the shock of my life! IT WAS JEON JUNGKOOK!!! Our beloved cousin!!

- Back at the house-

Yoongi: "Hoseok~ Did Yongmin texted you or anything? She should be home by this time. She told me that she is only intending to do overtime until 9pm and should be home by now. But she is not home yet and I am getting worried, Hoseok."

Hoseok: "I have texted her awhile ago but there wasn't any reply from her. Not sure if her handphone was low on battery or something. But you are right, she should already be home by now. That's odd. Let me try calling her."

Hoseok picked up his handphone and started calling Yongmin but to avail.

Hoseok: "Yoongi hyung, Yongmin is not answering her phone. Something is wrong...This is not like her."

Yoongi: "Hoseok! Let's go around the neighbourhood area and see if she is somewhere nearby or something."

Hoseok: "Okay! Let's go!"

So Hoseok and Yoongi went around the neighbourhood area to look for Yongmin but after few hours of searching, they still couldn't find Yongmin.

- Back at the scene with Jungkook -

Jungkook removed the masking tape from my mouth and stared coldly at me.

Me: "Jeon Jungkook?! Is that you?! I thought you were out of contacts already? Why are you here now? And what are you doing here? Did you brought me here to this place???" A tons of million questions popped up inside my mind.

Jungkook: "Yes...It is me...Are you surprised, Yongmin? I came back for all of you especially for Hoseok and Jimin. I know that they were looking for me. Ha~ So now, you make a call to you Yoongi oppa and tell him to put the call to Hoseok. I wanna make a deal with him and Jimin."

I had no choice but to follow Jungkook's instructions and called Yoongi oppa.

- On The Phone -

"Yongminahh?!! Is that you? Are you hurt?? Are you okay? Where are you now? Why aren't you back home yet???"

"Yoongi oppa! Yoongi oppa! Can you pass the phone to Hoseok? I am in Jeon Jungkook's hands right now and he wants to speak to Hoseok! But don't worry Yoongi oppa, I am fine."

"WHAT???!!! In Jeon Jungkook's hands??!!! But how...?! Okay okay! I will pass the phone to Hoseok now!"

Yoongi then handed the phone over to Hoseok.
