Fae walked between her two friends into the assembly hall. The two moved forward as they talked while Fae staggered behind, her eyes flitting across the room for Agatha.

She then noticed the girl walking beside Tedros. Her face warmed as she took in the prince's outfit, he looked handsome in his blue attire, his hair was also unusually neat. Not wanting to interrupt their conversation, Fae walked up to the two at an incredibly slow pace. Suddenly, she gasped lightly as Agatha tripped, Tedros catching her in a somewhat intimate way.

The two looked awkwardly at each other before quickly letting go. Fae pursed her lips lightly, a foreign feeling bubbling up in her chest as they separated, Agatha moving to the bleachers and Tedros turning around and immediately bumping into the fairy.

"Sorry-" he stuttered as he realized who stood before him. His eyes widened as though he had been caught doing something bad. "Fae," he said a bit loudly. "You didn't happen to see anything, did you..." he trailed off.

Fae gave him a tight-lipped smile as she tried to conceal her amusement. The prince shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "I guess you did," he smiled sheepishly.

"What exactly happened?" Fae asked, as the two slowly walked towards the Ever bleachers.

"Well, I might have been teasing her a bit for punching Tristan," he admitted. "She was too focused on finding Sophie though, she tripped and, as you saw, almost fell." Fae nodded and let out a sigh of relief at his explanation, happy that it was simply an accident.

"How are you though?" he asked her as the two neared the area where their friends sat, their hands occasionally bumping into each other. "Feeling any better?"

Fae nodded, her braids swaying behind her as her head moved. "I got some time to think and I feel a lot better," she smiled, "Thanks for waiting around with me." she said gratefully as she fidgeted with a braid.

As the two made their way to their friends, Tedros tensed slightly when he felt Fae's hand brush against his. The girl, aware of the physical contact, took in a breath before attempting to slowly lace her finger with his.

Before Tedros could react, Fae was quickly pulled down to sit between Felicity, who was next to William, and Beatrix. Agatha, unfortunately, sat a few students away. Tedros adjusted his clothes, and Fae cleared her throat awkwardly, both trying not to look at the other. Beatrix, with a sweet smile, patted the seat between her and Reena. "You can sit here Teddy," she offered.

The boy smiled in thanks but chose the seat between the blonde Ever and the dark skinned fairy. Fae shifted to give him space, feeling a lot more tense from the lack of distance between them. The prince looked at her from the corner of his eye, then, with a small burst of courage, gently took hold of her hand.

"What an interesting development." Fae turned to her left only to see Felicity reading a book she had brought to entertain herself, however, a mischievous smirk played at her lips. William is having too much of an effect on her, Fae thought.

"Everyone find your seats," Lady Lesso commanded the Ever and Never students. Fae forced herself to relax as Tedros held onto her smaller hand, their fingers interlocking as she suppressed a smile.

The two deans began to explain the agenda of the assembly, unlocking each student's finger glow. Some of the Nevers grinned, excited to have somewhat of an advantage over the Evers. Fae looked on at the excitement, trying to distract herself from the way the prince drew little shapes into her palm. She couldn't understand why he was being so touchy but she didn't mind.
