Technoblade and (Y/N) begin walking through the streets of Artymidian with Carl attached after the end of the leather lead. Technoblade steers clear of the palace as they walk, trying to avoid being sighted by not only his father or mother, but anyone who works at the castle who might snitch.

"Do you know what happened?" Technoblade asks, breaking the silence in his low toned voice.

"What do you mean?" (Y/N) replies, looking puzzled, following just a foot or two behind Techno as he walked, giving her time to analyze what was around her.

"The border and its forbiddenness," he clarifies, taking a quick look back at her, curious to know what she knew and what they told back in her home town.

(Y/N) shakes her head. "No one in Lythoria knows, maybe except my parents, but I'm not even sure if they know."

Technoblade nods, listening to her words, her response being what he expected.

The air between them is quiet for a moment, before she continues her sentence, "Do you know what happened?"

"I do know, as much as I can know. Some people in Artymidian know too, but it depends on who you ask what story you'll get."

"Well, what if I asked you? What would you say?" she asks, curiosity piqued, as this was one of the vary questions she had set her whole life to answering.

He pauses for a moment, thinking of how much he should really say. He doesn't want to skew her thoughts or scare her off, nor does he want to lie.

"There was a brutal war centuries ago because of a disagreement and deceit. Many people perished, including both kings at the time. So the wall in Lythoria was built for safety, to put it simply." Technoblade says slowly, choosing his words carefully for her.

(Y/N) ponders, taking in the new information. "Is that really the only reason they put the wall up in Lythoria? Why is it only on Lythoria's side, and why are they so hush and secretive about it? I didn't even know there was another kingdom with a name on the other side of the wall. There just has to be more to the story than that."

Technoblade kicks his feet a bit as he walks, thinking of what to say. "There was a lot of controversy when the kings died. It kind of made the kingdoms more irate. Regardless, Lythoria was losing soldiers faster than they could gain, so they waved their white flag, built the wall, and cut Artymidian off to prevent provoking attack from either side. They protected themselves by closing off communication to prevent anything like that from happening again since they were irritable with one another."

(Y/N) nods, understanding now. "That makes sense, but I still find the rivalry stupid to begin with."

"It's always about the power dynamic and wanting more power." Technoblade says.

(Y/N) agrees. "I often see the need for power in my own kingdom from my parents, like how they want the arranged marriage, and how their royal duties seem to get in the way of family dynamics."

Technoblade then explains, "A big reason why you can't get caught is because it might start a war since they both seem to be irate still with one another. And especially because you are a princess." He says in a whisper on his last sentence, but not too much worried as the sounds of the kingdom drowned out their conversation from others.

"I understand the consequence of it." she says, but now her thoughts begin to stray. Now that she knows the secret, and has seen Artymidian, what is there now? She ponders to herself. She feels that now that's just it. Only just to wait out till her arranged marriage with a guy she doesn't even want to marry and live out a miserable life to her parents' wishes. Her face drops a bit at the looming thought of it all really crashing down now.
