Zaytun had been avoiding checking her results, but she finally gathered the courage to do it. Her heart pounded as she slowly opened the letter containing her fate. Her name was written in bold letters, and she could feel the anxiety building up inside her. With trembling hands, she took out the contents of the letter and started reading.

As she read through the results, her hands started shaking, and she dropped the letter. She curled up into a ball on the floor, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't believe what she was reading. She was pregnant.

Zaytun cried so much that her eyes had run dry. She couldn't believe the twist of fate that she was carrying the child of the man she loved so much, despite his hatred towards children. But a part of her was also happy.

She had been in a deep state of contemplation, thinking about whether to tell her husband about the pregnancy or not. As she stared at the pregnancy test result, she bit her lips, deep in thought. She felt a mix of apprehension and hope as she considered the possibility of telling AbdulJalal that she was pregnant. She knew that this revelation could change everything between them, and she was bracing herself for any potential negative reactions. However, despite her fears, Zaytun couldn't help but feel a glimmer of optimism that he would react positively to the news. She yearned for his support and acceptance, hoping that they could face this new chapter of their lives together. If he wasn't willing to continue, he wouldn't have given her hope with all those affections.

Right?

Zaytun couldn't help but wonder if AbdulJalal would change his mind about having children after knowing that she was pregnant. Perhaps, she thought, no one could hate their own baby. With so many thoughts running through her mind, she was left feeling lost and unsure of what to do next.

As the day came to an end, the sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon, and the sky had turned into shades of blue and purple. Zaytun was still at work, engrossed in her new project. Despite the passing time, she remained focused on her work, determined to complete it before she left for the day and faced the reality of her being pregnant.

"I was waiting for you to finish, but you kept working and I did the same," Ahmad laughed at how ridiculous they were.

Zaytun was surprised to see that everyone had already left the office, and only the two of them remained. It was 6 PM.

"I noticed that you haven't eaten yet. Will you mind if we go to my sister's eatery again? Today's menu is seafood," he suggested.

"Hmm, actually, I can't really come with you today." The thought of fresh seafood made her mouth water, but she declined the invitation politely. Although Ahmad was a nice guy, he had been acting less professional around Zaytun lately, and she didn't want to lead him on.

She approached Ahmad with a heavy heart, knowing she had to apologize. She felt responsible for what had happened due to AbdulJalal's careless actions.

Ahmad looked at her with confusion etched on his face as she began to speak. The deep bruise on his face was still visible, even days after the incident had occurred. Zaytun knew that her husband's behavior was unacceptable.

"I want to apologize for what happened with my husband," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Ahmad laughed and shook his head. "Oh, that? Don't worry about it. Your husband is just a possessive man, isn't he? But you're a special woman, Zaytun. Please know that you're worth much more than this." Ahmad walked away after that. "See you tomorrow then."

She swiftly closed her laptop, arranged her desk, and picked up her bag before leaving the building. As she strolled towards the parking lot, a sense of exhaustion gradually crept over her. The long hours of work had taken a toll on her mind and body, leaving her drained and fatigued. In addition to that, her beloved child had been demanding more of her attention lately, which only added to her weariness. Despite being only one month pregnant, she noticed that her body was becoming more fragile and sensitive, which concerned her deeply. Therefore, she decided to visit the clinic in the morning to get herself checked up.
