Michael ate some of the food that Fan Fei had brought him as he waited for her to come back from K'un-Lun. It has been three months since he had met her and decided to take her as his student and teach her about the martial art he uses and also having spars with her as well.
And during this time he was told a good amount of things by her about K'un-Lun by her, of course she didn't say anything that was too detailed, as it was not advised by the people of her place.
Right now she had gone back to meet with her people like usual and he was waiting for her in their camp. Since the gates to K'un-Lun was open there she wanted to be close enough to the place so that she can go home and Michael didn't find anything wrong about that so he decided to cater to her needs.
'Hmm, how long is she gonna take?' Michael thought to himself as he waited for her to return.
He waited for half and hour as he finished the dishes that she had got him when he felt her Chi from the Gates as he looked at the direction. He smiled when he saw her, but then frowned when he saw that she had tears in her eyes and was running down the mountain.
He stood up from his seat as he looked at her and then he saw her stopping between running and then turning and running in another direction which caused his eyes to narrow.
He immediately gave her chase and managed to catch up to her, but then she became enveloped in greater chi and ran forward which surprised him. But he immediately caught up to her and grabbed her and stopped her from running away.
"Fan Fei, Fan Fei!" Michael called out as she tried to break free from his grasp.
Fan Fei thrashed in his grasp for a few moments before she stopped and cried. Then she wrapped her arms around him and cried on his chest as he held her in his grasp as he frowned at seeing her cry like this.
He didn't say anything and just rubbed her head and pat her back as she cried on his chest armor as he looked at her. They stayed like that for almost 15 minutes before she calmed down.
Michael is 190 cm tall while Fan Fei is only 163 cm tall as she sniffled as he rubbed her head. After she calmed down more she looked at him with puffy eyes and tears as he used his thumbs to wipe them away. Then he softly held her hand in his before he walked in the direction of their camp and she followed him.
They reached the camp and she sat on the bed as he sat beside her and hugged her after removing his chest armor, letting her head rest on his chest as she moved her body a bit and buried her face in his chest and hugged him as she whimpered while he rubbed her back as they stayed like that for a few minutes.
"What happened?" Michael asked her softly as she sniffled bit.
"It... back home..." Fan Fei said as he voice broke a bit.
"Shh... It's okay. Take your time." Michael said to her reassuringly.
After hearing that she calmed herself down and then after that started to tell him about what happened. The people of K'un-Lun had learned about her teaching the people of Earth and branded her a traitor for teaching their secrets to outsiders. They also criticised her for her use of his own martial art and then condemned her and her students to death by Shou-Lao.
She watched her students die and in anger she dived into battle, fully intending to die with her students. But she ended up killing the dragon and getting the dragon mark. Her people considered the mark as a disgrace and exiled her from her home, which was why she had ran from there.
"Those people." Michael said in anger after she was done narrating her story.
"I didn't want that to happen. My students..." Fan Fei cried and sniffled as tears fell down her eyes.
Michael looked at her as he knew that he has to focus on her right now instead of thinking about that as he completely wrapped her in his arms as she felt his arms around her body as she was held close to him.
"I'm here. No one is going to hurt you. I promise." Michael said to her as he rocked her back and forth.
That caused the dam to break as she cried heavily as she clung to him as he just hugged her and cried as he hugged her and comforted her. Soon it became night and it was time for them to sleep, but she didn't let go and so the two of them slept together on the bed.
The next day they both woke up, but Fan Fei was less enthusiastic as noted by Michael as he held her as she leaned on him.
"What do you want to do now Fan Fei?" Michael asked her in a soft tone.
"Why are you asking me that Master?" Fan Fei asked him as she looked at him at hearing it.
"Because of what had happened at K'un-Lun, I wanted to know what you wanted to do." Michael said to her softly.
"I... I wish to stay beside you Master." Fan Fei said to him after contemplating it for a few moments.
"Are you sure about the decision? I mean, do you not want some time for yourself to process all of this?" Michael asked her as he looked at her.
"I just... don't want to be near it anymore. Master, you're the only one I have left, the only one I can trust. I don't... I don't want to leave you." Fan Fei said to him as she hugged him tightly.
'Well, even if she is from K'un-Lun, she is still a 15 year old.' Michael thought to himself as he hugged her.
"Of course, if that is what you want, then I have no problems with it. You are my student after all." Michael said to her in a kind tone as she snuggled towards him as best as she could.
Michael just smiled at that and held her in his arms as he said words of comfort to her as she enjoyed the security she felt being in his arms.
'Thank you Master.' Fan Fei thought to herself as she hugged him as she was glad that he there for her as she smiled.
'I will make sure that this doesn't affect her that much. I have to do that as her teacher.' Michael thought to himself as he comforted her.
