Shubman slowly opened his eyes, his arms still wrapped tightly around Ishan as he stirred awake. Ishan lay on his side, facing away from Shubman, their bodies intertwined beneath the covers. One of Ishan’s legs rested between Shubman’s, and Shubman’s gaze was drawn to the scar on Ishan’s cheek. Even though it had healed, it still troubled him deeply.
Shubman moved closer, burying his face into the space where Ishan’s neck met his shoulder. The scent of soap mixed with Ishan’s natural aroma filled his senses—a comforting blend that Shubman knew he wanted to wake up to for many more mornings.
He began to kiss Ishan’s neck and shoulder gently, his thoughts swirling with concern and a deep, protective urge. Shubman wished there was more he could do to keep Ishan safe. The feeling of helplessness gnawed at him, knowing that if Ishan had been given even half the opportunities Shubman had, his life might have been different.
Shubman’s hand moved up Ishan’s body, resting over the steady beat of his heart. Although Ishan had kept his past mostly to himself, Shubman sensed that it was filled with hardship. He didn’t want to push Ishan to revisit painful memories, especially since he had his own.
Shubman pressed a few tender kisses along Ishan's neck and shoulder, feeling a mix of frustration and longing. After years of not being in a serious relationship, he had finally found someone he truly cared about, and now he feared losing him. He wasn’t ready to say goodbye, and deep down, he doubted he ever would be.
Ishan stirred and mumbled, “You're ready to go already?"
The sound of Ishan's voice startled Shubman. He hadn’t realized that Ishan had woken up. He became aware of his arousal pressing against Ishan’s backside and felt a flush of heat.
“I’m always ready when it comes to you,” Shubman replied, as Ishan turned to face him.
Their bodies pressed together, their members rubbing against each other. Shubman cupped the back of Ishan’s neck, pulling him closer for a kiss that was both soft and fervent. Ishan responded, his lips meeting Shubman’s with a gentle pressure, soothing Shubman’s anxious thoughts with the warmth of their connection.
Ishan’s hands rested on Shubman’s chest, pushing him back slightly. “Shubman?” Ishan’s voice was filled with concern. “Is something wrong?”
Shubman kissed him again, lifting one of Ishan’s legs to rest over his hip. “No, nothing’s wrong,” he whispered against Ishan’s lips. He wanted to savor every touch, every kiss, every moment with Ishan. The fear of losing him drove him to hold on tighter, to cherish every sensation.
“Shubman!” Ishan pushed him back a bit more forcefully this time. His lips were red, wet, and swollen. Shubman found that look incredibly appealing.
“What’s wrong?”“Nothing.” Shubman lowered his head and kissed Ishan’s collarbone. “I just want you.”
“I get that, but you seem a bit more intense than usual.” Ishan noticed the shift in Shubman’s eyes. He cupped Shubman’s jaw, lifting his face to meet his own. “What’s going on?”
Shubman sighed, snuggling his face against Ishan’s neck. “I wish I could run away with you.”
Ishan’s fingers threaded through Shubman’s soft, spiked hair. “Where would we go?”
“Maybe to Himachal Pradesh. We could just disappear into the mountains and live a simple life,” Shubman said, lifting his eyes to meet Ishan’s.
Ishan smirked. “The Himalayas? Well, I’ve never been there.”
Shubman planted a kiss on Ishan’s jaw. “Good. We could explore together.”
Ishan twisted a lock of Shubman’s hair around his finger. “What brought this on?”
