"Think I can hit this one for a six?" Ishan asked with a cocky grin, leaning against the cricket bat.

He tapped the bat on the ground, eyeing the last ball with determination. The sun shone brightly despite the lingering monsoon humidity, making the world around them glisten.

Shubman, sitting on the grass with a drink in hand, chuckled.

"I don't see why not. You've been hitting boundaries all day."

Ishan grinned, spinning the bat in his hands before taking his position.

"If I hit this six, you owe me a prize."

"Okay," Shubman agreed with a playful tilt of his head. "What do you want?"

Ishan smirked as he readied himself. "I'll tell you after I win."

He swung the bat with perfect timing, sending the ball sailing through the air. Shubman watched as it soared past the boundary line and landed in the bushes.

Ishan stood up straight, a triumphant smile on his face. He strolled over to Shubman, who was lounging comfortably, his spiked hair catching the sunlight. Shubman looked effortlessly attractive, even in his simple t-shirt and jeans, and Ishan couldn’t help but notice the attention he was drawing from others in the park.

Standing in front of Shubman, Ishan slung an arm around his shoulders, pulling him close in a playful, affectionate gesture. It was clear to anyone watching that this handsome, charming guy was with him.

Let all  Shahrukh Khan's in the park seethe with envy.

Let them wonder what it was that Ishan had that they didn't.

Ishan took the drink from Shubman’s hand and gently set it aside. Leaning in close, he whispered, “Let’s get out of here, maybe grab some chaat?”

Shubman’s smile was warm, his eyes meeting Ishan’s with a shared understanding. Without a word, he rose to his feet, and their fingers intertwined naturally, as if they belonged nowhere else. Together, they stepped out into the sunlit, rain-kissed park, the world around them shimmering with a golden glow. The air was thick with the scent of fresh rain and blooming flowers, but all that mattered was the quiet connection between them, as they walked hand in hand, leaving everything else behind.

Shubman zipped up his black leather jacket as he strolled next to Ishan, the monsoon air cool against their skin. Though the sun had begun to peek through the lingering clouds, the chill of the evening still clung to the city, making the walk home feel refreshing. The bar was only a few blocks away from the apartment, so they had decided to travel by foot, enjoying the soft golden light that bathed the rain-kissed streets.
